Jo posted a pic of the infrapatellar branch and the pain I have had on the inside of my knee on the left side below the knee cap appears to be from this nerve.
I just thought it was soft tissue pain but now I do believe it is from the nerve. I can push on this area and no pain.
It comes and goes for just a couple of minutes and sometimes it will hurt when I bend the knee.
Also, have a pain sometimes on the out side of leg on lower right beneath the knee cap. My pt told me it was the IT band.
Of course my knee still gets stiff under the knee cap when sitting for a while or after sleeping. It goes a way when I start walking or get on the bike for a few mins.
None of this pain requires me to take a pain pill. I have to admit being 5 months out I do not exercise or ride the bike as I should. I do hope to get back to this.
Just wanted to THANK Jo for all the pictures she puts on this site, because they really help you see what is causing your pain.
