Knee Locked

I had TKR on April 29 of this year. This past weekend I have been having pain from knee down my shin bone to my foot. Then yesterday while walking in my house my knee locked up. I stopped for a few seconds and then I was able to walk again. I didn't think the new knee could lock up. I have an appointment with my surgeon coming up on December 15th.

What were you doing the few days or week before this happened? Anything extra like hiking or something?

I still take physical therapy three times a week and I cut the grass one more time. The pain down to my foot started on Sunday and my knee locked yesterday.

In that case I would think it needs looking into and just as well you have the appointment shortly. I'd go easy on it until then.

The only other item I was thinking is my PT just started me on a stair master within the past two weeks.

Well, that would do it! Hamstring-itis! Lay off that till you see the boss.

I would think the stair master is a little too harsh on the knee with its pounding. I would suggest an elliptical.
