Hi everyone, This week I am getting a phone call from the hospital about if I am going to a rehab.center or home So when the phone rang and the caller id said Penn hospital I wasnt ready for what I was listening too the caller was a nurse from my OS office and she said that they were going over my blood test and looking at my x-ray she said that the doctor wants me to come in so he can take some fluid out of my knee to test for a infection. Ok now I started to get butterflies before and I have 10 days to go you should see and hear theses butterflies now! I am now waiting for a phone call to see what day I am going in for this test.I know where is fluid in the knee as I can feel it, since I did have that infection in my tooth a couple of weeks ago could it of gone down to the knee even with amoxicillin that I took for a week?:pzld:

I will so cross everything. Oh no, I sure hope not. Please let us. I will say a lil prayer for you that its all ok...

Peggy can you call your OS and see if you can have that fluid drawn at a local , lab or your reg Dr instead of the far drive. I hate to see you wait. My reg Dr has done alot with my knee maybe yours could atleast draw the fluid and send it to a lab then they can give your OS the results since your OS is far...Just saying I know the wait it horrible. When I had to have alot of blood work done for surgery and mine forgot to dosome tests instead of going back to the OS they sent me to a lab here and they took it all all sent him the results it was pretty fast. worth a phone call.

Got a phone back from the doctors office and since I am going in the hospital the day before my revision for that filter to be put in the doctor is going to draw the fluid out that day. That does save me a hour drive out to the doctors office but it also keeps me on my toes until that test is done at least i will be in the hospital for what ever happens. I do need to get a ulsound of my leg since i had a blood clot last time and that i can do here.

Peggy,
That does sound better. I did put alittle something something on the prayer
prayer thread for you I hope you don't mind.

Just try to think positive, thats the best thing to do right now. Dont worry, nothing you can do right now, really. We are all saying prayers for you. You'll make yourself sick worrying. You have to so strong for your surgery..You wil be ok I know you will.

Thanks Everyone and Calling I will take all that something on a pray that our Lord will answer, thank you. I am going Thursday morning for the ultrasound what I dont understand is that its been 2 years and 4 months since the TKR and my blood clot, can something still be seen in the vein where the clot was?Just a question that came to mind after I got off the phone with the pre-op nurse, why is it theses questions just dont come fast enough when someone tells you something that takes you by surprize.

I've got everything crossed! I'll say a HUGE Prayer for you!:gphg::flwr::yrk:

Peggy,
It's because on brain is still trying to sort through what we have just been told. We need to sort it first so we can think of the question we need to ask. But I bet Jo can answer some of those questions for you.
Just a minute!!!
Jo!! Oh Jo!! Peggy needs some questions answered and you are the one who will have the answers. Thank you Jo.

Bless you, honey. God be with you and smooth the way for you.

As for that ultrasound, they'll be checking that it is okay and there's nothing amiss. It's quite routine, so don't fret.

Peggy,
I'm also going to keep you in my prayers as well. Thanks for your kind and informative post to my questions. And yes, I live in Arizona, we moved here 31 years ago and I love it. But you have to love heat--it was 115 yesterday, not too unusual. I've never been to Queen Creek (it's pretty far out) but Chandler is great (wonderful mall there). So hope you have a great retirement here after you get your knee fixed up!
