Hi,
I'm scheduled for right hip replacement on January 13th. I found this site very helpful when I had my left hip replaced four years ago. You would think I would be ready for this, but I am still nervous. It is really just the idea of all the precautions again for three months. I am an active person with a ton of responsibilities. Unfortunately these responsibilities are physical in nature, so there aren't too many people that want to step up to help. The other issue is that I am teaching virtually at the moment and I'm not sure if I will be able to continue doing that after the surgery. I believe Administration feels I should be able to do so, but they may be in for a surprise. During the first hip replacement, I had the surgery done in the late summer and only missed a month and a half of school. I guess, I will see what happens.
