Where do you live? I'm a Missouri child.... lived in N. KC and Independence till we moved to Oregon when I was 13.... I have 3 sisters who still live in the KC area.

Beach, we live in Olathe now. My family moved to Kansas City in 1958 (my dad was in the Air Force and stationed at Richards-Gebaur) and I lived in Grandview until 1982. We love it on the Kansas side. NKC is pretty too...lots of great new development up there now.

Agree, Skeet!!! Patti, be proud of your guys. They made a great fight. I have no fingernails left!!! What a rough game....young men playing their hearts out. I'm not sure my heart can take another one of these!!!

Uhhh.....Skeet, by the way I think I'll pass on your broccoli snacks....I wuz chomping on fresh strawberries instead.

Oh, Doug....you and my hubbie would so get along....he's a late night WWII and John Wayne movie fan. And the History Channel late at night.....

Well, my condolences..big hug to make it heal

Congrats to KU........you guys have every reason to be proud!

I'm pooped....cheered my FOOL head off......

Are you still getting the bad weather??

We've had rain for 4 days....I'm not complaining because we need it, it just makes for achey days and nights. It's muggy tonight.

I can imagine you're tired. I know you were on the edge of your chair hollerin'!! I'm glad to hear from you, though....I was getting a little worried you might not be feeling okay! Hope the sun shines there tomorrow!! Get some rest, okay!

I love John Wayne, WWII movies, and the History Channel. So does my hubby. Even my kids are pretty fond of most of them. it's so sad that so many of our WWII vets are dying every day. If you know one, thank them for serving. We owe them so much!

Patti, I'm pooped, too. It was an exciting game and could have gone either way. Hope your weather turns better soon and that all of us get rid of the dang weather related aches and pains. I don't recall my knee bothering me so much before the TKR when the weather changed. What do others think??

Oh, mine did a lot of the time when we would have those himid Midwestern thunderstorms.....we'll have to see if that is the same later in the spring when it starts. I hope not, but I'm guessing it will have an impact on my pain level....

I could feel the weather before TKR but never to the "super ache" level I get now..

Skeet, My dad left home at 16 to go into the navy and fight in WW11. He drove those landing craft that rammed the shore and dropped off the Marines..He was at several of the major Pacific battles that I can't spell..One time he was blown out of the boat by a Kamikaze that blew up on the beach..He had to go ashore with the Marines..He ended up next to a Marine and they pledged to name their boys after each other if they survived...They both did(my middle name). I used to love to listen to his stories.

Thankyou Doug's dad. Thankyou to mine too, he was in the Gloucesters in WW2. Thank you to all you vets everywhere.
