Aww, Izabel
I'm so sorry to read this. I'm glad it was discovered early and the plan of attack has been established.
We're here for you so please stop by often. Wishing you peace and comfort as you move forward. @Izabel
@Izabel Just a thought, if you have time with your spacer and are non weight bearing do consider a disabled buggy, mine has been a life saver, I see so many people struggling walking and I think i wish i could get you all a buggy, some people think it is giving in to have one, but it just makes you able to do more!! I bought mine from ebay brand new from someone who felt too embarrased to use it, so sad for £135.00 pounds, my husband wanted to just buy me one, but i love bargains and it was only 10 miles down the road!! The sun is still warm and healing, im enjoying every bit of it with my 4 legged friends!! Be happy everyone, hugs Izabelxx
@clodaghcov A buggy sounds great but neither my cottage nor grounds are suitable for such.
Going for an aspiration tomorrow so not looking forward to that!
Cool at 16c today blue skies and windy but I have lovely views out one picture window of red roofs, fancy chimney pots and palms and the sea out the other window (corner room).
Blue skies, red roofs, palms and the sea all sound lovely!
Lucky you...with a view
Will be thinking of you with your aspiration tomorrow.
Prayers all goes well @Izabel Please keep in touch.
Wishing you comfort and a peaceful day!
Hi @Izabel
Wondering how the aspiration went yesterday and when you expect to hear something?
I hope you don't have to wait long.
Thinking of you and wishing you comfort. I hope your day is a peaceful one.
Didn't get back to my room till 9pm from the aspiration but they saved my dinner and brought it up.
Wasn't an experience I would want to go through again. She could not get anything as it was clotted so put a catheter and drain in. No pain after anesthetic wore off just uncomfortable. Surgeon came this morning and said just blood no pus ... If all continues well I am home on Friday. @clodaghcov I can't find Alphadrinia on the map ... what is it near? I am near Sao Bartolomeu de Messines in Central Algarve just below Alentejo. We are going through a cold spell of highs of 17c, lows of 10c, should warm up a few degrees to normal by the time I go home. Had lots of rain and sunshine.
Thank you all for your positive wishes. They have given up on the IV as my veins keep collapsing so have started me on the tablets and I go home tomorrow, (Thursday) back next Friday for first blood checks.
Will write of ordeals over the weekend when I am in my own comfort zone. ... but I am on the road to recovery, in mind and soul.
I am home and feeling good and taking my antibiotics ... Amoxicillin (875 mg) and Clavulanic Acid (125 mg) 3xday. I go back Friday then 8th for Surgeon consultation and blood tests. If all well I can cut back to 2xday. Surgeon removed drain from Aspiration before I left hospital and picked out a few staples whilst Nurse cleaned and changed waterproof dressing. Now to do my own home therapy being aware and cautious of just having a spacer stem and ball. I WILL be walking for Christmas, albeit aided.
