Good afternoon to all. I've been thinking about my inability to get from bed to my bedside potty chair in time. That's what I experienced last time. Thought about using the adult diapers this round to help. Thoughts?

@julesglass, if you don't want to go full on diapers, Depends makes a pad similar to the ones women use, except shaped for a man. My husband used the pad and then a lightweight shield after surgery some years ago. Probably more comfy than diapers. Just a thought!

I agree with Sarah. The pads are a lot easier to deal with without needing help too. With the diaper style I think you have to get your feet in them. This surgery sure does a number on frequent / urgent urination.

Morning all. Here I am at home sick, boring. Had a number of coworkers sick three weeks ago, thought I got through it unharmed. Daughter sick Easter weekend and of course grandaugther want to see me. Went over for a few hrs and now here I am. Work is getting more difficult however I keep plugging along. Lawn guy hadn't mowed as of yet, hope I don't get a "over grown" lawn warning from city. I'll have to talk to him about how picky I am about keeping up lawn. Going to get checked out at clinic today. Catch ya all later:puppysmooze:

Well I got ear infection again. I got back home after picking up meds and there was lawn guy, so happy to see him. He might have a garage door opener to replace my broken one. That would great, no more manual opening.

I want to get it done @Mojo333, believe me. After last night in hell, definitely. Financially it's not possible till July when I start getting my widow's check. Between that and short-term disability ins. I'll be able to keep up on things.

Morning to my extended family! Started feeling normal Sunday after four days of antibiotics. Figured I'd stay home one more day from work. Tough on the wallet however better than going down again cause I pushed it. You all take care.

Glad you are better. My thoughts go out to you having to work and wait till July. It is very difficult with the hip pain and I am sorry that you have to wait. Hopefully, time will go quickly and in the meantime try to take it easy when at home and not overdo. More things can be put off for a while than we sometimes think.

I got it!:yes!: July 10th. Nurse said she'd get back with all the details. Still not fully over this ear infection. Going to take it as easy as I can this weekend.

Congratulations on getting your surgery date! Wish there was a way to make time go faster for you. :) I hope you are feeling better soon, ear pain is pretty consuming I find.

Morning @Carriemay60. Yes ear pain takes the trophy of pain. This joint pain is horrible however you can still think, and have a sense of humor. I'm lounging on the couch, listening to the ringing in my ear. I think it's off key, a little sharp.

You are exactly right, no sense of humour at all with ear pain; toothache is like that too. I sometimes feel like a hot cloth or the heating pad for a few minutes helps soothe it a bit. You may need another course of antibiotics; this is too far out from finishing yours to still be so uncomfortable.

I agree with you @Carriemay60. Pain is to annoying stage, ringing is loud. Think I have respiratory infection also, coughed alot of stuff up yesterday. Gotta couple days of antibiotics left. Since docs want you to finish first script I'll go back end of the week. You take care.
