Just got back from PT and I asked my therapist if he ever heard of Bonesmart. I explained to him what it is all about. He agreed with the concept about not pushing to pain. He is constantly asking me if it hurts, or if it is ok when he is working on me. I told him I am swimming now and he told me different things to do in the pool. I thought it was all about bending the knee while in the pool and he said no, work on strengthening the muscles. I told him I went back to icing more now too. He was working on my husband's neck (we go at the same time) while I was doing some warm up exercises. He was watching me go up and down the steps and I could do it without hanging on the railing. I think the rise on his steps is less then I have at home. He said he was anxious to see what my bend was today. But he told me he wasn't going to push me this time. So last week I was at 107 and even though I am feeling better, my bend was only 100. You know what, I DON"T CARE, it is a number, and my actions are showing me that I am improving. He said he could have pushed it to get a better number, but decided not to do it. I only have one more session with him next week and I run out of therapy. Really like him, but think that I can do this on my own now especially with going to the pool.
