Hi all.

I an scheduled for my LTKR on Monday--need to be there at 6:00 am and I will be first on the schedule. Yeah-finally.

I'm excited-but nervous energy has me running around attempting to do many things. House cleaning, exercise, packing and about everything I can think of. Have prepared some food for the freezer but my husband is a wonderful gourmet cook (loves to cook) and already takes charge of most of our meals so no problem with meal preparation afterwards. (we also have a son that's a chef).

Question for all--anything that should be on my list of things to do in the last two days?:pzld: Thanks for your advise. Nancy

Yes calm down....:) .lol..Seems like you have it all ready ....Food was a great thing to do.....Im sure you will be fine....Keep that positive attitude it will go along way....I hope you keep us posted, when you get back.......Good Luck to you.!!!!!!!!!!! You will be in my prayers.....:)PS it is scary because its all unknown I guess, but you sound like your in good hands and being first is always good. No back up or waiting.....And hes rested...lol..:hehe:

Just what I was going to say, Kim!

Hi Nancy, Just dont over do it, take some time off to do things for yourself that you wouldnt be doing for some time, go have your nails done just no nail polish, then go have your hair trim, you will be surprize how fast your nails and hair grow. And if you can get into the bathtub take a nice long bubble bath just have someone in the house when and if you can get out of the tub. Now did I do thoses things No and I am sorry I didnt. My room mate in the hospital (I called her my room mate from hell) said to me O you have long hair why didnt you have your hair cut all off like I did. I feel so sorry for the nurses she hit that call button every second.Iwill write later about her.

Just make sure you have lots of books in the house--all I did for the first two weeks was read!! Good luck, Kelly

Nancy,
Everything will go just fine!!! Did you remember to buy bags of peas for icing your knee down? I tried ice and peas...peas are great!!! I chose peas. Just be careful with them...don't want to eat them after they have thawed out a few times. LOL. Somebody mentioned to put them in zip lock bags...great idea!!!! I didn't at first, I had a bag rip open and ended up with peas all over my bed and stuck to my legs and butt. It was quite comical!!!! Best wishes! May God Bless You and Be With You!

Take care!!!:gphg:

Doing all the things you girls do in these situations - caring for others! Don't worry, you will be just fine and you don't need to take much for the first two days then you will be giving hubby the list of things you need to keep you occupied and then home and recovery - take it slowly it will be 3 or 4 months before you feel that the new knee is yours.
Our thoughts are with you.

Nancy--
Prayers and best wishes that all will go well for you tomorrow and that you will make a wonderful recovery.
Blessings,
Irene
