Ooops...I'm sorry too, Beth.....didn't catch on how badly we all had derailed your thread! Gosh, that's so easy to do sometimes when you're just chatting with family. :whis:

Thought maybe the dog would cheer her up....

[Bonesmart.org] I am TIRED of this BAD LUCK STREAK!

Oh, Gringo.....Dooley is ALWAYS welcome on the forum. I adore your Dooley stories....especially his love for the fishies....

Great puppies like him are guaranteed to bring smiles!

I did make your wonderful graphic a little smaller, though. Hope you don't mind. It's a keeper and I'd like to use it now and then if that's okay with you!!

Beth
Hows the knee doing now? As everyone suggest, do keep it iced and elevated before you see your doctor and let us know how your getting on. It must be terribly painful for you to have both knees all banged up at this point. I really do understand. Be careful and don't overtake the ibuprophen, keep it well spaced and read your maxium directions. Ive had headaches all my life so I completely sympathize with you! Please post often and let us know how it's going! We care!
Blessings to you!

Thanks everyone....It's 12:09 a.m. and I'm up just catching up on my e-mail and all that. Knee still hurts. I have to be really careful how I step on that leg. I think what I'm going to do instead of running up to my OS right away (he's about an hour away).....I'm going to go to my family doctor on Tuesday.....he will order an x-ray for me and then they can compare my last X-ray to this new one and see if there is anything new that is from the fall.

I've been such a clutz and just not being careful. My left knee is scraped up and terribly black and blue, but my "bad" knee doesn't look that bad, just swollen and it hurts alot.

Gringo: The pic of your cute little dog DID cheer me up! I love the cane under his collar. I'll be you have alot of fun with Dooley.

Goodnight!

Hi Beth I think that is a good idea atleast you get it checked. Sorry it is still hurting. Try to get some rest. With the black and blue sounds like you really got banged up. Take care and yes be CAEFUL OK.....LOL.................Kim

Beth Thats a good idea to have your primary doc take x-rays and check things out. We'll be anxious to hear the outcome. Hope it's just brusied and nothing broken.

Kim I love your Bears! They are so great, I just love bears... have a large supply of antique teddys that I've collected over the years.

Gringo... What a great dog! Anyone can tell you how dog crazy I am. Is Dooley a Jack Russell? or Parsons Russells I think they call them now. I had one years ago and he was just a total ball of energy! It would take a cane to control him!

Beth, today being a holiday why don't you just rest and ice and be ready to call your doc tomorrow? We hate it when anyone has a pain problem. Yuck...makes me hurt from here. Hope you have a better day today.
Blessings~~

Yep, he's a Jack Russell Terrierest. And he has been known to completely stampede four or five dogs weighing five times as much as he does. The only thing that he fears is thunder.

I hope I'm not repeating myself (I do that alot) but I've noticed that my bad knee has those "bone cracking" noises more than it used to. I'm afraid mine has shifted a bit like Gringo's did.

Beth...you're not being a hypochondriac now......are you??? LOL!!!

Well, bone cracking is bone cracking. Everyone around me hears it!

beth~
Ok, like we talked about yesterday, call your doctor and get in for an x-ray. I am so sorry that your having all this trouble, but it's time you got yourself seen girl! Let us know when you get your appointment. Creak and crack your way to your doctor and let him evaluate what's going on.
I'll be waiting to hear what he says! Good luck to you!
Blessings your way~~
Nancyo

Gringo
I had to laugh about your pup. Having had Jack Russles in the past, I know they know no fear!
Hed probably fight the thunder if he could catch it! I have four Shih Tzus now and they are plenty active for me! Myia, is trained as a Therapy dog, and heaven knows she has enough work to do with my therapy, much less when I take her to various homes and hospitals. So take really good care of your friend there! He's an important part of life!

Beth... You can aways tell people that your brain has signalled your knee to go into overdrive! Seriously, make an appt with your OS to see what he says!

Yes, Beth....you need the peace of mind that sometimes only an appointment with the doc who says "you're fine" can do. And that's exactly what I hope you hear when you see him. Please let us know how you are. We do care about you.....:cnsl:

Turns out I can't get to the OS until June 8th. So I got ahold of my family doctor and I'm gonna see if he will order an x-ray for me that my OS can access by computer. My family doctor will call me back to tell me what it looks like too.
I'm just icing and taking Advil. It hurts sometimes when I'm sitting, but always when I stand or walk. Especially when I first get up.

VERY good idea, Beth!!! That's thinkin'!!!!

By the way...I want to tell you I love your avatar. Sometimes the best thing a person can do is just hide in a soft bed....and your signature is fun too.

It sounds like you are doing things just right. You'll have more information about what's going on very soon....

Thanks everyone.

Yeah, that's how I feel most of the time. I just want to hide in bed. I don't even want to go outside or anywhere because I'm afraid I'll have a car accident or fall, or something stupid!

I just found that little "saying" the other day. The older I get the better I was. So true.

OK. I had x-rays this morning. The front view looks about the same. Bone on bone on the inside area of the knee, and a little bit of cushion on the outside of the knee. What concerns me is the side view. It looks like where the femur(?) and the tibia(?) meet, the top part of the knee joint is pushing out forward.

Beth, what were the doctor's comments about your xrays?
