A couple of weeks ago, I posted about "training" for a trip to Disney World with my family this September. My goal was to walk 4 miles because the average guest walks that far in a day. Well, today I did it! I'm 62 years old and 8 months out from an LTR. My knee held up beautifully and the only problems I had were due to arthritis in my other knee and being terribly out of shape. I never thought I could do this, so I feel a wonderful sense of accomplishment. Now I know I can and the task won't be so daunting.

Wow that is so terrific. That is alot of walking but thats the reason you did it to get freedom and yes you did succeed. Im happy for you...keep on going.....Gives us all something to look forward to....Thank you for that....

That is great. So happy you will be able to join in the family fun.

My goal was to climb the bleachers to watch grandson play football.

I don't have stairs to practice on but I know I will do it.

Awesome Barbara---that is an achievment!! It is fun to make goals for oursleves and then actually get there. Good work.

Great news, Barb!!! Betcha Mickey and Minnie were proud, too!!! :)

Superb, now keep up the training so that when you have to do it each day that you are at disneyland it won't be so daunting

Bell, absolutely wonderful!!! It's amazing what determination and a good goal will do. You need to feel VERY proud to do that at your point in recovery. You'll have a wonderful time with Mickey and Minnie. Keep posting that kind of good news. It is so important for the ones who follow you in surgery.

Barbara!
That is Wonderful! Makes us all so proud! When you get to DisneyLand you're going to be setting the pace for everyone else. Please keep up the great work, I know how hard you worked to reach your goal and it give me chills to know you got there! Yeah You!
Blessings always
