TKR How long did you use your ice machine?

My ice machine is missing a part and I'm looking at renting a working machine. Did you use your machine for more than a month? The rental costs $150/month, but if you guys used it for more than a month after surgery, then I might as well wait for the part from the manufacturer and use ice packs until it gets here. I know, all of us heal differently but I'm curious. Oh and tomorrow is surgery! I'm looking forward to getting to the post op side of the board.

I used my ice machine for several months. You can purchase an ice machine for between 150 to 225.

Best of luck with the surgery and recovery. I am still using a Game Ready machine more than once daily 9 weeks out of surgery and I expect to use it for at least a couple more months.

I did wait for the part and now that I'm on the post op side, I'm glad I did. I keep thinking the healing is a once and done thing but I'm coming to realize it isn't. The ice machine is definitely my friend and probably companion for quite some time!
