How Do I Prepare for Surgery?

Hi, Hopeful. I hope you don't mind, but I moved your post to its own thread under the knee surgery forum. This way you will get responses specifically for you without derailing the other thread.

Look through some of the old threads in this forum. LOTS has been written about things to do to prepare for your surgery. Here is one thread, but there are many.
 
I would start stretching and try and build up your muscles with whatever exercises you can tolerate. Get your house ready for post op and round up everything you will need ahead of time. I would find out if your insurance covers an ice machine post op and if not buy one or find one to rent, you will find it's the best thing for pain and swelling, it's really a must have IMO.
 
I still say quads when I was recovering they were so weal I would look at my leg and couldn't lift it...lol.....finally did I would hurt yourself getting ready but thats what i would work on........Good Luck to you , you will be fine and you have all of us behind ya !!!!!!!!!!.........)
 
Hi hopeful, Welcome. I,m 6 days post-op on a PKR. what,s saving me is pre-prepared frozen meals I put in containers. I simply nuke
em. Also paper plates and plastic utensils. Easy claen up! Tom
