I didnt know prednizone did that. Actually the knee is just warm right now. . I have about 5 lbs (feels like it ) of ice on my knee...It feels ok now. You should be careful till they can figure all this out. That is so not fair about your tests. Someone needs to get their act together. Sure hope you get good news soon....You deserve it !!!!!

Thank you Peta just talking was enough, actually after we talked I calmed down maybe that made it better, I went right to sleep. Thanks for being there at these crazy hours I am up...You are a sweetheart...

Kim you are very welcome - anytime! Sometimes just getting things off my chest makes me calm down a bit and relax. Everything is always worse in the wee small hours when you can't sleep and everyone else is around you!

Aw thanks are you selling anymore of them. Its that way again not to were I want to use it as a snow blower, you know walk across someones side walk and melt the snow......but woke up with it really burning....But I think when I stay calm, it is a lil better. I hope this passes again soon...just surrounder with ice packs as we speak...... K Are you, when is you trip. I dont remember where you are going...........

Well today another scorcher, I guess it will be inside again. Knee Got really hot again last night...Im hanging in there though. Just want it over. I think I said I ordered what Linda told me . So I sure hope that works. I had the ceiling fan going, and another fan right beside me, ac turned way down. Husband had isicles hanging off his nose, ....Almost blew him right out the bed....lol

Well I started off with it elevated then I guess in the middle of night it scooted off. So no prob not all night maybe tonight Ill tie it to the pillows...But yeah I do move around alot..put it back up then move again. Cant get comfy......Thank you !!!..Ship thats why I always read your posts...they are very good....

Kim I feel like I should be a cartoon charachter with a sprinkler type of body. I sweat a lot anyway, with the prednisone I am always sweating. When I come back from my hike I am totally drenched. It always looks like I peed my pants too. I started buying skirts.
Last nite was my baby's 8th grade graduation. She hated the skirt I had on, told me I look better in pants. I did change into a different skirt. THere was not even standing room left inside when we got there. I was at the docs office, husband was home. I got home at the time we should leave and Becka was not even home. He thought maybe she was upstairs. So we had to wait for her to appear and we were late.
So I spent the whole time outside. It was cool though. I would have looked like a wet mop if I was inside. But, it was dumb to even be there. I ran in and stood in the middle of the floor to take a few pictures though. 'she will probably never speak to me again after that. I figured I deserved it if they did not plan enough room for everyone.

Yes I sweat easy to I swear half man/ half women...That is totally a joke by the way....No still hot here .....They never have enough room at the school functions, and your right always hot....How are you feeling though. Did you hurt when you got home...........I would love to see some pics............

Guess what I cant beilve it I feel so so selfish , naughty. I dont know why...I laid down at 1 and didnt get up till 4. I woke up flung the covers off. I yes Jumed up...I have never done that before...Someome tell me thats ok...wow I am shocked cant belive I did that !!!!!!!

Let me be the first to tell you that is perfectly OK. I've been doing that and I sleep well at night too. You need it every day with your night owlness.:thmb:I know it may feel weird, but it is great. It will help your knee too.

Thanks Judles Me too. Yes I see the new Dr on the 25th. But I did get a call today saying if he was not available to see me would I want to see someone else. Being my first visit I did say no. Hes the one Ive heard so much about, from Freinds, PT, Neighbors....She said they will be in touch???? Dont know what that means...And yes its hot as we speak. Just icing and trying to type and keep my mind off of it...Hard though

JOBS---NEED A KNEW RESIDENT INSOMNIAC!!!.......You know I did elevate since YOU said to, and the rest of you......Yest. I had that naughty 3 hr nap. Last night went to sleep at 12am got up for potty break . Got on here maybe 5 min..lol...then didnt wake up till 905 am....CAN you believe it...I feel like a new woman.....Really it had been over 2 mths since I have gotten more then 3-4 hrs a night and that was even waking up in between............Bow chika wowo or whatever !!!!!!!!!!!!!!..........Thank you guys I love you all......

Great! Keep icing and elevating when necessary. Now I have a recipe using vitamins I swear by to solve insomnia. I found it in the book prescriptions for Nutritional Healing. When you are ready to go to sleep take the following:
2 Calcuim + D 600 mg
2 Magnesium 250 mg

I also take one of each in the AM each day. My bone density test came back great. I am 59 and have been taking these for about 10 years..... Works like a charm.
Try it!~

I will be interested to see if they make a difference in your sleep. They have helped me tremendously. They are just regular vitamins and should not harm your other medications. The Magnesium is needed to help the Calcium do what it needs to be absorbed by the body. Vitamin D is vital!
I take an additional 1000 mg of Vitamin D daily.
My PCP is a vitamin guy. I was so happy to have found him. He was thrilled I was taking all the vitamins I am! All my blood numbers are good except for my TSH for my thyroid. It is way too high so I have had to increase my medication. They only do it in small increments... I see my PCP next Wednesday. I had another blood test yesterday.
