Just thought that if any of us had our operations in the same hospital, or had the same Drs. we might be able to share stories. Mine will be done by Dr. Monson at Emory in Atlanta, GA.

hmm ... big world, small member base ... I think you'd be lucky!

You are right. I didn't look at the number of members we have. Oh well you can remove this post if you want. I doubt any of us would have the same Drs. or Hospitals.

WEll as it turns out Kim (Texas) is using the same doctor I used
prior to my new one. He is really good. The doctor I use now is ranked pretty high and hard to get into. I did just because my cardologist is his friend and called him. But I really like the other doctor also.

So you never know.

I'm surprised! And pleasantly ..

Hi,I had my surgery at Presbyterian hosp. Plano , texas. I went to the Texas joint institute Dr. Hillyard is my doctor, totally love this man and cannot say enough good things about him or the hospital excelent care!

Personally, think this is a handy thread. Had both hips replaced by Dr. Marc Mihalko in Memphis, TN. Very happy with his surgery and patient care, and his nurse/PA was most gracious, keeping me well informed. Can't say the same for the care at the hospital, however. Some nurses very caring and gentle, others just there to get their paycheck. Methodist University Hospital, Memphis, TN.

Mine is Dr. Bousche at union memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.

The ortho department there is the OFFICAL orthopedic department to the Baltimore RAVENS... go purple! :D

I don't think there are any other members here from New Hampshire, but you never know who might be lurking about. I certainly promote this forum whenever the opportunity arises :thmb:. Sooo just in case....
Mine was done by Dr. Marc Scheffer from Dartmouth-Hitchcock in Concord, NH. I can't say enough good things about him and his staff. Concord Hospital has a brand new ortho wing, I had a lovely private room. The staff there however was all over the scale from very poor young nurse's aides :hissy: to absolutely excellent nurses and a couple of aides who have been at it awhile :D.

Just thought - why should all you Americans that this thread all to yourselves?!!

Shaun O'Brien did my knee. He's from Sunderland Royal Hospital but did me at the new Surgery Centre in Gateshead. It's only been opened two years and was
specifically built to have high standard protocols against MRSA. Private rooms, en suite, very cool! He does nothing but knees but that includes stuff like cruciate repairs. He's the premier knee man around here!
