Thanks to everyone who has posted on this board from which I have learned so much as I get up to speed before my left THR surgery next week. On the one hand after a year of first moderate, and now severe osteoarthritis, I am tired of the constant pain and difficulty in mobility. But I am fearful about dealing with additional pain and the unknown. I have led an active life and want to continue staying active.
If I had gotten an X-ray in the beginning, I wouldn't have thought I was just dealing with muscular pain which physical therapy didn't really help. But as things worsened and I received my diagnosis, there was no question about whether to "choose" to do this surgery or not. I am ready to get my life back.
Wishing healing and success to my fellow March Musketeers, and to all those all ready on the road to recovery.
