Heres mine Op done 06/08/2010 so not bad for two weeks.
Lets see if this three day old scar shows. I had the doctor snap the picture when he changed the dressing for the first time this morning.
I'm laying in the bed. Sorry for the poor quality cell phone picture.
Here is a better picture just taken of the 6" scar. Wife says it is dry and I should be able to get a shower tomorrow.
Here's my incision 5 days post op. My husband did my first dressing change and it looked really good, no leaking at all.
The back of my leg is badly bruised too
13 days post-op.......not sure I would have chosen these colours from a fashion point of view....but I think it's doing O.K.
Here's my incision post op day 8, it's looking much better!
Also, one of the back of my leg looking better too..
This is my scar, day 11 (not that I would normally be flashing my rear to anyone, but I got my Mother in Law to take a picture!!)
This is mine after 9 weeks healing up well I think from my first pic I put on.
Taken by me in the bedroom mirror (clever don't you think LOL)
I hope I did this right! This was taken a few hours after.
30 minutes after stiches were removed - looks a bit sore - and it was!
Pic taken today still rather sore and swollen
And this is it - my new hip!!!
Hospital x-ray - not very good quality
17 days out!! Today I get my 2 stitches out at my 1st post op visit.
Seven month picture...:hehe:
Am I reallly posting a photo of my cellulite bum???!!!!!
This is 12 days post op taken by my disbelieving OH with a mobile phone!
Well here we are at the ripe old age of 4 months. I must say I`m pleased with just how well its healing. Most of the time I forget that I actually have a bionic bit!!
this is my TRHR as of today which is day 6
looks quite bad but no pain now and bearing most of my weight without problems
this is day 19 of my RTHR bruising all gone yey!!
wound got infected but thankfully the antibiotics sorted that out
less than 3 weeks from surgery and I cant believe how much better things are and how well I can walk now!!!!
Well it was a first first for the older staff nurse and photographing my reargave the young student nurse something to 'omg' her friends about.
I planned this to be a year of changes but posting pictures like this wasn't what I had in mind!
Photos Left and Right are of the Hip replacements done exactly 7 days before.
A bit of redness where the dressings have just been removed.
Do the techies want to guess which one was done first?
Cheers a wide awake late
I'm not very technical so it's taken a while.....here are my badges of honour - the latest one from my THR & some revision work done at the same time on old scars from my younger days. This photo was taken 5 weeks post op.
I'm delighted with the new one, (across my posterior!) I had no bruising whatsoever and I think it looks fantastic. The revision work has been more of an issue, there were TONS of clips and it was very tight due the work done. You can see that I have more scars veering off to the left of the pic that curve around almost to my waist from surgery done in the 60's & 70's - how techniques have improved!
