Hippies scars - post your badges of honor here: NO CHIT-CHAT HERE PLEASE

Here's my incision 5 days post op. My husband did my first dressing change and it looked really good, no leaking at all.

Well it was a first first for the older staff nurse and photographing my reargave the young student nurse something to 'omg' her friends about.

I planned this to be a year of changes but posting pictures like this wasn't what I had in mind!

Photos Left and Right are of the Hip replacements done exactly 7 days before.

A bit of redness where the dressings have just been removed.
Do the techies want to guess which one was done first?

Cheers a wide awake late
Steve

I'm not very technical so it's taken a while.....here are my badges of honour - the latest one from my THR & some revision work done at the same time on old scars from my younger days. This photo was taken 5 weeks post op.

I'm delighted with the new one, (across my posterior!) I had no bruising whatsoever and I think it looks fantastic. The revision work has been more of an issue, there were TONS of clips and it was very tight due the work done. You can see that I have more scars veering off to the left of the pic that curve around almost to my waist from surgery done in the 60's & 70's - how techniques have improved!

I got the nurse to take it for me because I can't really see it. Four days post-op. Gruesome! My leg is swollen too. I have to say it's better than the last one I had where they used staples!
