Hip Replacement for me soon?

Janis and Jo recuping together? Now THAT'S a movie script in the making I'm sure! You 2 bionic ladies are going to be even better than ever!!! Oh!! Can't wait to hear the stories!!! :hehe::hehe::hehe::hehe:

Judi,
Don't worry about heaing the stories... we'll most probably hear the explosions!
Now we hear that Jo's surgery has been moved up to this Sunday! WOW
Jean: so very good to hear from you again! Jo told me about the "move". Hopefully it will come about before your Hip! I think you will be so much better off that way. Moving is a terrible thing to have to do, but exciting none the less!:pnc: Confusion over boxes of "stuff".
How's Jack doing lately? Please post more often Jean. I love hearing how you are and what's going on with you two.
Blessings to you always:pray:

Oct 1st was not a good day for plans.
I never heard of polishing an eye. Make sure you have good pain meds for that. Good luck. What was wrong with your eye again???
I don't go back until November to see how my hole is developing . the eye doc said surgery is the only cure, but he wanted to wait until i lost more vision to do it.

That sounds a bit scary but I am sure they know what they are doing.

I keep getting corneal ulcers/abrasions due to dry eye and it has damaged the surface of my eye. As far as I have been told - polishing the eye is buffing the surface of the eye with a minute 'sander' sort of thing to literally scour away the top surface of the cornea. The idea is that it will heal over nice and smoothly. Sounds as if it will be a bit painful but he assured me I wouldn't feel a thing though it could be painful for a few days afterwards.

I woke this morning with a raging 'stingy' eye again and had to once again sit for half an hour with a wet flannel to cool it down. This is the 3rd morning in a row so I will be glad to get it sorted.

:skp:

It's just like the dermabrasion people have on badly acne scarred faces.

I am sure it is Jo - my face I could cope with, I think, but it's MY EYE !!!!

OK Janis. Sounds like you need it soon. Glad the procedure itself won't hurt. Just get those pain meds for after!!! Although you are experiencing pain now so maybe it won't be so bad. And it will be healing.

it sure is a lot harder than i ever imagined it would be to maintain these bodies of ours!!

:shk::shk::shk::shk:OUCH!!!:shk::shk::shk::shk:
Feel BETTER!!!!:pnc:

Eye op was done 13th and at last I can see well enough to be on computer for a short while.

My eye was well numbed and I honestly didn't feel a thing but it was a bit
scary to see the scalpel blade waving across my eye as he pared the cornea! :shk:
BUT - later that evening when the numbness had worn off the pain was excrutiating and it was yesterday
evening before it settled down. I have an appointment Monday to remove the bandage lens and fingers
crossed it has been successful.

Now, next thing on the list is pre-op for hip but I am hoping to put
it off until we have moved to a bungalow.

It sounded to me like it would be painful after. Glad that part is over. I'll be praying it was successful.
