Hip Osteotomy or Hip Replacement??

Hi,

My name is Tamara. I'm 45 years old and live near Niagara Falls, Ontario. I was told I need a hip osteotomy, that I was born with this problem. The closest surgeon that my surgeon can find is in Ottawa, Ontario. Does anyone know of a surgeon in London, Ontario or Toronto, Ontario doing this type of surgery?

Who, exactly, was it decided that this was the procedure you required? I wouldn't have thought osteotomies were good treatment nowadays. Can you give me more detail?

There are many good Orthopedics Surgeons right acrossed the border in Buffalo New York. Why don't you call Buffalo General Hospital and see If they could help you?
I had a THR there October first and was very happy with the care I received there
