Hello and Welcome to BoneSmart. Thanks for joining us.
While I haven’t experienced hip aspiration, many other members have. Hopefully some will stop by to offer feedback.
You will be able to access all threads where hip aspiration was mentioned by typing the key words “hip aspiration” in the SEARCH at the top right of the page.
From what I’ve read, you will be given an anesthetic and the aspiration site may be tender or sore for a few days after the joint aspiration procedure. Take a pain reliever for soreness as recommended by your healthcare provider. You will also be informed to notify your physician in the event of fever, redness, swelling, increased pain or bleeding or drainage from the site. Of which none may occur, so please don’t worry needlessly. There are cautions attached to every procedure.
Have you experienced a THR? If so, please provide a date and identify which hip it was so we’re able to create a signature for you. If you are post op, we will relocate your thread to the Hip Recovery forum.
We will be here for support if you need us and answer any questions if we’re able.
Best wishes to you! @SFR
We’d love to support you and in an effort to gain a better understanding we ask that you clarify whether you’ve experienced a THR? If so, please provide a date and identify which hip it was so we’re able to create a signature for you.
