It was a really big deal for the lst one who wants constant pain..everything about that knee was awful, pain control, PT the whole nine yards..but that's over now with the revision. I think looking back the only thing I didn't get was a blood clot...I can laugh now but sure was crying then..This winter, I'll be happy not to spend time up at Weiss looking at Lake Michigan..Florida sounds so much better.
Second tkr the right was last Feb up at Weiss in Chicago...I came home Sunday and the incision started bleeding that night..had to go back for a whole week....talk about boring..but that was the end of problems...have a wonderful knee.
Revision Jan 15...it was -15 that morning and I almost stayed in bed honestly...didn't want to go...that one had bleeding and 21 sts at the bottom...he uses glue and the incision at places just didn't stay shut..figures...a month after my surgery my Mom passed away...she had a final stroke and never woke up...the day after she passed I had to be up at Weiss for a manipulation....managed that barely...then my sister tried to sue the trust because she didn't like this and that...hadn't seen Momin 5 years, did not come to the Funeral and did not send Flowers...
PT ended with stem end micro movement...did my stuff at home..with help from friends and husband..we cleaned out the house...and I'm meeting the realtor at noon today.
So it's been a really rough start to the year...but the knee is doing well..just feels like stuffing inside of it...Dr. Finn said left over scar tissue from the other surgery and the feeling might go away...it has 125 rom and is straight...and most of all it doesn't hurt.
I actually mowed the lawn a few weeks ago..and we're going to Las Vegas May 24th..I sure can live with a stuffy feeling in the knee...
Had a lot of support from friends and family or I'm not sure I would of done so well.
