Just got settled at the skilled nursing facility. I'm doing the best I can. There is pain, but the pain seems manageable. Having limitations is more my problem. Learning to be depend is my problem. I will stay touch but i need a nap my eye are very tried.

Hi, Hopeful!!! So glad you are able to post and I'll be looking forward to hearing from you again soon. You need those naps at this stage, so go for it!!! And take advantage of all that tender loving care. It can be quite nice to have someone taking care of all those pesky tasks for a while so you can focus on healing.

hey hope im glad you done .....just do what they tell ya and youll be done in no time....Oh naos yep get em while you can;;;;lol....anytime,......cant wait to hear from you when you out....take care and we are all pulling for you.........)

Hi Hopeful,
Lovely to hear from you rest and sleep the best medicine.

Love Karen xx

Welcome home Hopeful, plenty of rest and ice will see you through, best wishes for a speedy recovery. XX

Hi everyone, the hospital stay was excellent. Very professional people doing a very important job. I only saw my OS's PA each day. the pain has been manageable. I left the hospital with a ROM at about 85-90. I'm very pleased at the 85-90,but that is just the tip of the iceberg. My brother was having cancer surgery while I was being transported from hospital to nursing home. I have been the nursing home for 18 hrs and I hate it. Maybe today will be better. I'm glad it's over, speak to you guys latter. hope all who had surgery this week are safe and well. Bob

Good morning , Bob.
It's good to hear from you . So glad the hospital stay went well and that your medical team took good care of you.
And so sorry to hear about your brother. I do hope he is doing well too.
That is a lot to deal with when you are having to deal with your own health and recovery.
What is the problem with the nursing home?? Hopefully you will be back in your own home and bed soon.
Please rest , ice and do all the things the experienced ones on this forum have advised.
Stay in touch and know you have friends here.
Blessings,
Marquesa

Bob congrats about getting to the other side safely.

Bob..so glad to hear you are out of the hospital. Very sorry to hear about your brother. Sending prayers your way right now! Hope you get out the nursing home real soon! Make sure you ice, elevate and rest. Your ROM is great ! Keep up the great job! Let us know how you're doing! Stay positive! I know right now it's hard to depend on somebody else for a change but let them help you....Pretend you are at a fancy resort and have all these people waiting on you hand and foot....or hand and knee:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Sorry...couldn't resist that one. Take care!

Hello, it"s Saturday morning, had a very long night Friday night. I ended up pushing myself too hard during my 2 PT sessions on Friday, and paid the price for it. I have just learn a available lesson. Slow, slow and more slow. Saturday morning PT very easy and relaxed. took pain meds before PT, that's the ticket. now about to take a NAP, LEG ABOVE MY HEART, and wanted to check in. It's hard but doable. Bob

Yes, take it easy there, Bob. You'll get there - remember the tortoise and the hare!
