Had a surprise phone call from his nibb's secretary - would I go in on Sunday instead of 21st? I cheerfully said yes of course! How nice!

Put the phone down and then had to make an urgent rush to the loo! Funny how those things effect you, isn't it?

So now I'm hastily phoning round trying to arrange for someone to stay with my overnight so I can come home the same day, book a cab each way and now am going to blitz the house (it needs it!) and get the fridge stocked up with necessaries for the next couple of weeks.

Eeeh! This has been a shock to the system! And I thought I had it all nicely planned to know who was going to be looking after me and all. Best laid plans of mice and men gang oft aglay!
 
Morning or evening Jo Im so glad your are getting this done sooner i think you will be happy ......I will keep you in my prayers .....You make me laugh with your choice of stories the loo............lol......good luck to you we will all be waiting........Wow that kinda came fast ......hugs.........Im sure someone would love to stay with you. This time ask the cabbie to help with your things to door!!!!!!!!!!!he needs to help.......

I can understand the rush to the loo, best place in the house to have some quiet thinking time. :hehe:

I hope you can manage to get everything done and organised, especially the after care.
Who cares about what the house looks like, any visitors are coming to see you, not make a a spot inspection of the house.

I wish you well for Monday and you get good drugs !
 
Ah no! the house cleaning is for me! Sitting looking at the bomb blast when I know I can get up and do something about it is one thing - looking at it when you know you can't is somethings else entirely!
 
These little unexpected surprises....ain't life grand??? Now tell me again, Jo, exactly what is the doctor supposed to do with this surgery. And does he think it will fix your problems with pain in your un-TKR'd knee?
 
Good luck Monday. My surgery is Monday as well. I think moving it up that quickly could be good because then there is less time to stress.
 
Jo Will be thinking of you. You will do fine. I am off to surgery in a few mins. Will have to stay the night in the hospital. UGH
and 6 weeks of doing nothing in the house, lifting or anything.
I have spent the week cleaning.

Good luck and I do hope this will end your pain.
 
Good luck to you both with your surgeries! Pat & Jo, you both know what to expect and are as prepared as possible. Remember to be proactive for your own health care, work hard at PT, and know how much better you will feel once you have it done. Yes, lots of pain the first few weeks, but it does get better and you will be stable standing up! Take Care of yourselves.

Well good grief! I don't know anyone who can handle it as well as you. I am a bit confused though, do they mean this Sunday or Sunday the 18th? Guess I lost something in the translation.
Please let us know asap when you can that you're back with us. We are so lost without you. LOL I'm actually very glad that the time table has been moved up instead of back. It will be ok my dear. I know you are in great hands and the prayers coming for you will certainly make a difference. Love you always, you know~~~

Nooo! It's this Sunday, the 4th. And I shall only be in for the day. I've been lucky enough to get two good friends to come and baby sit me that night so I shall be able to come home. One is even going to come and pick me up from the hospital as well!

God bless them and praise be to God who will always provide.

And as the man said "I'll be back!" this time probably Sunday evening or Monday morning!
 
Good im glad you dont need a taxi and lug your own things around. Sending prayers your way !!!!!!!!!!
