The answer is yes! In most cases, you can recover at least most of your "lost" post.

As you are writing your comments in the "Message" block, you may have noticed a little green dot sometimes appears on the icon highlighted below. This is the "autosave" feature working.

If you click that icon a drop down menu will give you the option to save or delete a draft of your post.

You don’t need to save your draft as the "autosave" feature will do this for you as you're typing. But if you are worried about losing a long post, you can click the "save draft" option at any time.

If something happens and you lose your work, get chucked off the site or close the window/tab accidentally, immediate go back to where you were posting and click on this icon. Your work will be restored up to the point of the last "autosave."

Conversely if you are writing and decide you don’t want to post the content, click "delete draft". All content in the posting box will be removed.
