THR Heavy, pulling feeling?

PT doesn't equate to a faster recovery at least early
That is the rub. Also there is no standard time for full recovery.
It's seven weeks for me now. I don't pay attention much to my hip. Had no outside PT

Can't conment on why PT is being foisted on you.
How much time off work have you been granted?
As much as i need. I started with 8-10wks and if i feel i am not ready i will stay out longer. I have a STD policy i took out 5yrs ago in anticipation of this surgery. And i work for Yale University where we have free healthcare which requires the use of their team of pcps and speacialists. I had to use 10 days of sick time before my STD kicked in. Its only 60% of pretax pay. Im luckier than most as far as having my hubby home for 2 weeks also.
I will ask about the PT tomorrow at my post op when the wretched bandages are ripped off :gaah::beg::scaredycat:

Log leg :sigh:
I remember...also funny that there could sometimes be a disconnect in brain waves to one of my legs when it came to getting in the car among other things.
Seemed it went away, but still happened intermittently...then, poof...normal!
Try not to worry about these weirdnesses...all temporary.

now if my couch was 3 inches higher i could do everything without him but i still need his strong arms to help pull me or just allow me to use him as leverage.

Are you familiar with furniture lifts. They can be used on chairs, sofas and beds, giving you more independence and hubby a break. You can purchase them at any of the big home improvement stores like Home Depot, Lowes, or online for approx. $10-$20.

Hope you have a great week!

RE: furniture lifts. I'm tall which makes getting out of low seating even more challenging. So, I have lifts under the sofa, my comfy chair, my bed, and the daybed on the back porch where I spent a lot of my early recovery time. These made it possible for me to access all these seating spots from my first day back at home. You can find unobtrusive ones made of clear plastic or wood.

Happy One Month Anniversary!
How are you doing? Hopefully all is well. We'd love to read about your progress if you care to leave an update next time you're on the forum.
Please consider it. Best wishes as you continue healing! :)
