Heard back from my surgeon, and GOOD NEWS

Well, thanks to Jo and her advice to contact my surgeon.
I have just received an email from him.
I shall not post a copy in case it appears disrespectful, but the gist of it is that he is putting me on his waiting list to replace my knees. Yippee, I think, now the realities here I'm a little apprehensive.
But, I intend to continue with Dawnies Dogged Diet, as I know losing weight will assist my recovery.

I shall let you all know when I get my date.:shk:

And hang in there with the diet. Any loss of weight now will be a help to you in recovery and beyond. But....you knew that.....

Yes its normal. I had doubts as well but you are going to be fine.. Because in the beginning you wanted it so bad thats how you know....You will be ok....And if your loosing weight as well. Well watch out you will be a new women...

WONDERFUL!!! So glad things are moving along for you.

Keep up the strong will power with that DIEt. No fun, but you will be so glad you did. I know I am. It felt great to drop the weight on my chart when I went to the dr. today! Look better too. I can even wear some of my daughters things she can no longer wear. She has dropped several sizes as well.

My first thought is that you are beautiful. Great pic. What great news too., You go with that diet. I know it's rough, but you are going to be so very happy. You will wonder if it is the right thing too. It is. We are so very lucky to be able to get rid of some joint pain.

And Dawnie - you'll find that nervy feeling gets a whole lot worse when you get your date. "Gulp gulp!" But that's okay too. We all did that. And right when he came and was getting me to sign the consent, I still asked him what he thought of the xrays, vaguely hoping he'd say "well, y'know, Jo - I really don't think it needs doing at all!" I can tell you, if he'd said anything even remotely like that I would have streaked out of there like a greyhound ...... well, if you've ever seen a 300lb (19 stone) greyhound streak! :hehe: Well, no, not really - just painting you a picture!

And you can always call me if/when you feel the need!
