there is more house fires now due to young generation having to learn how to cook.My son in law a fire officer says they have never been so busy with people cooking instead of takeaways or micro wave dinners,so maybe some good somewhere eating fresh food.
I bought a new spin bike 2 weeks ago must have had an idea would be stopping in,But I have never felt my age before, the young lad who delivered bike, I asked if he would help me carry bike upstairs to spare room,i got one end of box lifted up then was told please put it down lad picked 55kg box up and nearly ran up stairs, wife said in my younger days I would have done same. But now riding miles indoors with a great view from my window I can see for Yorkshire people they will know these places Emley moor mast Wind turbines at Holmefirth, Ferrybridge power station, Lake side Doncaster and to the left hills outside Sheffield .Lovely views just a struggle sometimes walking up the hill to our house but I think keeps me fit ha ha.
Here's a wonderful exercise for all of us.
This weekend it's traditional in the county of Gloucestershire to hold cheese rolling events. The purpose is to roll a whole double Gloucester cheese down hill and to chase it, if lucky without doing yourself a serious injury or two. The fastest in each race wins the cheese. Injuries are common!
Sadly, for obvious reasons, this year's events were cancelled.
But as an alternative, today in the UK, its Naked Gardening Day. The weather is nice, but not too warm, so I'm staying in Lockdown.
I'm considering joining a bog-snorkeling event this year!
Hola everyone! I'm back... had to power thru my classes (all converted to online instruction) and the very dark days of COVID-19 where we had very high numbers (SE Michigan) and you measured your time to some extent or another as to how much you went out vs. stayed in etc.
I managed to keep my TKR knee relatively active using a home peddler and today going out to rent a bike to cycle a bit about a college campus. I hope everyone is doing well.
I've never cooked so much in my life! Trying out new recipes and spices to spice up the same old. Hah!
