Having some more problems

So... Saturday I noticed a lot more pain and some swelling in the area of the incsion! It started like that be progressed quickly. The pain got a lot worse as did the swelling! Now it feels like there is a water balloon under the skin there. It's hot to the touch! It felt much like a new clot. So, I spent four hours in the ER. It's not a new clot, but they don't know what it is and told me to talk to my OS today! That's the plan, but no sleep last night!! Frustrated and needed to vent!!

Oh Tahoe I am so sorry, I cant belive that. I assume they did the clot test. Maybe Jo or Jamie might have some ideas. I will pray for you, and surely hope that all this negative stuff stops soon. But you have made it thru the other things so you will make it thru this dont stop................Fell better soon............Kim

I can't believe all the problems you've had! Hopefully your OS will get things straightened out for you. I guess you didn't get to go to work after all. Please keep us posted.

Tahoe, so very sorry to hear you ended up in the Emergency Room! But you were smart to go have things checked out right away...especially given the fact that the swelling came on so suddenly. Have you had a chance to talk with your surgeon yet?

Are you running any fever and is there any redness?

Going into the OS in a half hour! The home health nurse is who told us to use the ER! I'm so tired of complaining... I'm really tired of hurting too!! Thanks again guys! Oh yeah...no real fever kinda low grade 99ish. A little redness, looks very strange!! Feels that way too.

ok, tahoe. i'm waiting to hear how things went. its hard when you have so much going on. but make sure you make them listen, you've had real complications and derserve to be listened to. i'll be praying for you

So just got back from the OS. They drained 6 oz. Of mostly blood off of the hip. Feels a little better. They don't think it's infected, but gave me antibiotics anyway. I will keep you informed. Thanks again!!

So... I have my PT-INR this morning. Hopefully that is finally theraputic because then I will be able to stop the Lovenox shots. My stomach can't take any more!! It's pretty sore after a month of shots! I am still going to try to go back to work tomorrow. I have PT today too! I look forward to that, makes me feel like I am doing something good for my recovery.

Tahoe....I'm thinking about you and sending a basket of good thoughts and prayers your way. You are right that doing something (even if it is WORK) is good for your mental attitude. Hope you don't have to be in the awful "waiting" mode too much longer and you can put all this behind you.

PT-INR was theraputic!!! Finally!! No more shots in the belly!! I can't tell you how happy that makes me!! PT was good... I will be going to his office now so I can really get going on PT!! As we have been limited by doing PT at my home. Hopefully, we will be on track now and make a couple leaps and bounds!?! It has got to be my turn after all this, don't you think?? Thanks again for all your support!! I will keep you updated!
