Have you noticed the new things?

1. age and gender showing - please set yours to show if you haven't already
2. mouse-over a thread title and you get a balloon pop-up with the first few lines of the post
3. Who's Viewing - on every forum and thread there it is now possible to see who is viewing it
4. member's birthdays are showing underneath the Currently Active Users box
5. in Currently Active Users, if you click on that title (it's a link) you can see who's doing what including all the guests. But what you also see is all the bots (Yahoo, MSN, Google and others) which are trawling the site getting info to display when people do a search.
There maybe more that I've forgotten.

Oh yes, and Rich installed a special skin for people using mobile devices which autodetects when a mobile device is being used and applies that skin. Let me know if you are finding this useful.

Jo, I think that each and every one of these additions to the forum make it more appealing and professional for our members and guests. Participating in a forum like BoneSmart should be fun and entertaining as well as informational. In fact, I feel that the movement toward a more casual, friendly environment has been the primary reason our membership and participation is steadily growing.

I am so pleased that Richard was able to make these improvements quickly for us and it is my sincere hope that he can continue to work with us. We need someone who is bright, energetic and savvy in forum operations to keep us going in this manner.

Judles, a skin is the appearance of the forum. The standard for this forum is an orange and brown frame around the posts and so on. Others fora have fancy picturesque stuff with clouds and flowers! It's a way of personalizing the site.

Gotcha, Jo!! I'm just so happy I was able to "get on" the site! We were all saying how much we missed not being able to access BS during maintenance..it's been such a lifeline for so many of us now!!!! .uch appreciated!!!! (0)

One thing I forgot to mention, Jo, and it's HUGE!!!

Richard was finally able to set up proper filters to keep the spammers and porno posters off the forum. Since he came on board, we have had NO instances of either. What a relief!!!

When 0i post, Jo,,,I always used to see the post and it was the first post......now when I post, I won't see the thread I posted .....sometimes for hours! Loss of continuity!

Sorry - then no idea. It gets posted on the forum so it's safe. Perhaps there's a time delay with a mobile device - I don't know. When we get Rich back, we can ask him.
