I had an appt this morning with my OS's PA. My left knee has been less than happy--locking up, popping, paining etc. So I went in for a cortisone shot which I hope will hold me until I can have surgery in January.

My PA was very pleased with my progress. Very impressed with my ROM..did not measure...but did not need to because I had my knee neatly tucked under my chair!!! She agreed that some swelling can be expected for a long time--up to two years.

I got my shot, now I am icing and elevating to be sure both of knees are happy tomorrow. :whis::whis::whis:

Hey Barb,
Happy for you,sounds like things are moving along nicely. I was surprised when you surgeon mentioned swelling for up to, two years. I was starting to wonder about that myself,and scheduled a appointment to go see my doc. I am getting swelling behind my knee,not sure what that's about,lol
