Hi,

Is there any risk or precautions needed prior to going to the Gynocologist for my annual appointment? Is it OK to have the routine appointment at 2 months after surgery? (Papsmear, etc).

Thanks!

Good question, Melissa....but one I think Jo needs to answer....or your surgeon's office. Hopefully Jo will see your post soon.

No worries. A Pap smear is non-invasive anyway.

Hi Josephine
I am due to be listed for a hysterectomy at some point. Is there any problems with this surgery post THR? Do I have to leave a certain amount of time between op`s?

Only from the point of view of what you can cope with. A minimum of 6 months should be good but check with the surgeon. Also, check if he's going to do a laprascopically assisted hysterectomy because then he will need your legs in stirrups so you should make sure he and everyone else knows that you have a THR in case of dislocation.
