GREAT site, Simon! The exercises are wonderful....especially for those who don't have access to PT on a continuing basis.

This site looks really good, but will take a while to read and look through. I've got visitors due imminently, and they are here for 5 days. Will then get working to get knee no. 1 stronger, and knee no. 2 better prepared, for the op on the 28th! Then it will come in very handy post-op I'm sure.

A very interesting and well constructed site. Good find, Simon!

Excellent site Simon. I have already bookmarked it. Now that I am on my own without a PT to watch my form --- reeding those detailed descriptions are a big help!!!

This site does look great. But one caution. In the book my surgeon wrote ("Heal Your Knees", Robert Klapper, M.D), he warns against doing a single leg wall slide if you have TKR. I notice that this exercise is listed on the linked site, and just want to put out that warning.

It is always best to get the approval from either your surgeon or from our PT for any exercises you plan to do in recovery. Just to be safe.....

Thanks Simon! I read the whole thing and started practicing (before my surgery) that way I'm ready to get started as soon as I get home from the hospital. However I will make sure my therapists o.k. these exercises!

Val, you having another op? Your profile says LTKR Oct 25th 2008 RTKR April 21st 2009. What is the op on 28th?

Good site Simon, I will give it a go!

Well spotted, Brian! That post was written a while ago, after I had received the date of April 28th for my second TKR. However, I then was offered the 21st due to a cancellation. That phone call came on the 20th, so I had less than 24 hours notice - definitely the best way to do it! I'd already had the pre-op assessment so there was no problem going in early. So, the dates on my profile are correct, but that particular post is now misleading!

The LAST hing you needed was a repeat performance, Val!

Val, I realise now that Simon's post about the exercise site was made on 16 April but I only saw the thread yesterday and thought it was new!
