Recliner for me.
I was also recliner/lift chair for first few weeks.
Will be thinking of you also this week.
Try not to feel too anxious (she says now that she's done already, lol) or at least temper any nervousness with the knowledge this is to get you back to life with no hip pain.
Hope your weekend is peaceful!
Got all my work done and think I am ready for this week. Picked out the clothes to wear home from hospital and shoes to wear there. Got the house all set up and ready. Let’s go new hip!
I just made the decision to have bilateral anterior THR this week and am working with surgeon for a date, probably mid-September, but will know more this week. You all must have had your surgeries by now and I'm hoping you are all on your way to recovery now. I'm relieved to have made a decision, nervous about the surgery but excited to know that I'm on the way to being an active equestrian, hiker, yoga/pilates participant and paddleboarder again! This site has been so helpful in the decision making process, and I look forward to supporting my fellow September surgery "participants" through pre and post op.
Bye bye hip pain @sweet alice
Post when able ...we will see you on the healing side
Yay, a new bilateral pal. Alice has surgery in few days. Hopefully you can start a thread so you can document your journey.
Got the call from the hospital. I need to arrive at 5:15 surgery set for 7:30. First on the list.
Good...less time to think (and do without coffee)
The healing side is waiting for you.
Is going to be fine @sweet alice
wow 5.15! Well, you weren't thinking of sleeping that night anyway, were you? Hope all goes well for you and you'll soon be out the other side
