Where you at, man? HOW am I supposed to know when I'm acting up??? Have you abandoned ship??? Are you walking so darn pretty that you don't need your pals????

Give us your secret....I want to walk pretty, too!

I'm here Patti and still walk like a penquin so you're not alone. Hang in there with the diet because I have walked that walk and it is not easy. Don't look at it like a diet try to look at it as just how you eat and don't deprive yourself anything as that is the fastest way to gain weight.
Can you tell I use to be a cheerleader and cheerleaders never die their pom poms just get bigger.
Cathy

Early in the day...as I'm still "fresh", I can walk fairly normal.....as the day goes on...it turns UGLY!

Give me a "S"
Give me a "K"
Give me an "I"
Give me a "N"
Give me a "N"
Give me a "Y"

I like that cheerleader joke. I was a cheerleader, too. But, my pom poms didn't get bigger, gravity took over!

Now why on earth am I not surprsed that Patti and Skeet were cheerleaders???
My buds.

I was just holding out for a 'youhoo from my Pattipoo'. Hey Shuga, I'm home. I've just been lurking. When back to work for the first time today and I think I've got some kind of fat monkey thing goin on. It wasn't too bad though, I made it with just a little 'puffiness'. Glad to know that I'm still thought of occassionally.
I have another little bit of "Insider Knee Info" for you guys. I got a call from some company rep that 'my friend' the therapist referred to me. Check out this website, www.getmotion.com. This guy checked my insurance and they are bringing me "The Flexinator" (it don't get no better than that), some kinda new fangled torture device developed by some sick and twisted individual with too much free time and no friends, I'm pretty sure. I'll update you guys in a few days. T-Man, it looks like a rigged up pipe bender.
I still love you guys, but I have been trying to 'wean myself' to less than 10 times per day of checking this board. Not gone, just almost forgotten.

YOOOOHOOOOO!!! Hey Gat!! Quit lurkin' you PERV!
I think that gizmo they're sending you has hydraulics!!!

Welcome back...don't be going AWOL again!

Sorry about the AWOL, but I've got the site on favs at work now. We can check in and instigate at least. Things are going well, knee-wise and life-wise, hope you are too.

Don't know what I'd do without this place.....my boss is a dear and he knows I came back to work JUST FOR HIM WAYYYYYYY tooooo early (4 weeks)...he knows this place keeps me going!

Work on, brotha!
I'm working right beside ya...
where we goin' for lunch???

Where are we going for lunch??? Well, of course we're coming to your house, Patti, based on your outstanding southern hospitality and Doug is bringing me some BBQ'd ribs and maybe some brisket. I love my Texan food and miss it. Once I made pinto beans and cornbread for dinner, just cuz I love it, and a friend that came for dinner thought we were having financial challenges cuz we didn't have meat at our meal... I 'bout split my britches laughing.

Here's my favorite cheer:
One a zipppa, two a zippa, three a zippa zam
Don't give a hobble gobble razzle dazzle sis boom ba
Wortham Bulldogs, rah, rah, rah!

I love to cook briskit. It is a challange to get it smoked just right, with a crust but tender and juicy. Takes about 8-10 hours on the smoker.
As for pinto beans and cornbread. Been there done that. Just add ham hock and away we go!!

Dougie....are you sure we ain't kin? Mikey has one of those converted oil drum grills....i'm sure you know what I'm talking about....it's a huge mamajama. That man loves to cook...like you do...he's already talking about starting "spring" with a heck of a cookout.
Skeet...that is SOOOO funny! If you've never had the pleasure of having delicious, home cooked....ham hock simmered pintos with a sprinkling of vidalia onions on top...homemade cornbread slathered in butter and big cold glass of sweet tea, then you haven't LIVED!!

Oh the vidalia's...you can put'em on ice cream.

How bout pork chops, lima beans, mashed taters, gravy, and biscuits???
That's what I cooked tonight.

Dang, I am hungry for some down home cookin'. My hubby is a great cook, grew up in Kansas but he's learned to do a mean brisket... it is an art. If he weren't such a great cook I would have starved by now. You described like the perfect meals - both of you. Add to that my favorite breakfast - biscuits and gravy - yum!

And also venison and elk. Now that is good eatin'

Never had elk. We have bunches of venison and wild hog. Ever had alligator. Really, it is good fried.
I go to a small family owned meat market here. They make home made sausage. A cheddar and Jalapeno and a brown sugar link sausage. Add that to the biscuits and gravy and you have to nap right after breakfast.
