Hi Bella
Welcome . I am a hippy, so can not give any info on flex except it is so early in your recovery, I would not worry about it.
REst, ice, elevate, take those pain meds and stool softeners.

It depends upon how much of a flexion range of motion you had prior to surgery. I fortunately had full range of motion (135 degrees) with each knee prior to surgery. After surgery during the second week, I believe I was between 100 and 105 degrees ROM and -2 and -3 extension.
Remember this is very early days! Even with healing and making scar tissue.....
Best,
Crystal
Find a PT that works on keeping adhesions from forming and limiting your movement. PT is really important for most of us to fully regain function. Scar tissue forms in everyone, it's when it adheres to things it shouldn't that the real problems occur.
Hi...I had 113 flex before the operation and after two weeks only76 but I did get back to around 100.........but really a lot just comes with time also...don't stress it just yet...
Welcome to the forum, Bella. As those above have said, you are still VERY early in the recovery process. Swelling can limit your range of motion (ROM) as well as scar tissue development and you may have some swelling going on. Are you in physical training (PT)? If so, talk to your therapist about your concerns. There are specific things they can do and have you do (exercises and massages you do daily at home) to lessen the possibility of excessive scar tissue.
Hang in there and give it a little time. Everyone heals differently....a couple on the forum have been slow to obtain "normal" (that's a really relative term - what's normal for you might not be for me) ROM. The real goal is not a number, but the ability to function well in your everyday life.
Keep posting and let us know how you are getting along. You'll always have support here.
Welcome Bella. I was slow to get my ROM and extention back. At 6 months I was still only at 93, had an MUA (Manipulation Under Anaesthetic) and got it to 97 then gradually got it to 110. I am about 105 now at almost 15 months. I had a lot of swelling, still have some. My OS thinks I may need an other MUA eventually. Also says it can take 2 years for some people to recover fully.
You are early days yet anyway, you may just suddenly improve your ROM, a lot of people do. Good luck and keep posting. Sue
