First Day of School I Survived

Hello folks,

First day of classes and I re-entered teaching after being in medical industry and allied health for 33 years. Students were pretty good. Too much stuff to relay on the first day. Teaching Medical Science I, Medical Science II, and Biomedical Technology. All elective courses so my kids appear to be a little more motivated. Hope it is not the first act and Linda Blair hasn't starting spinning her head yet. Virtually all records, grades, and attendance are electronically performed--little paper.

Before I stepped out of class, I knew rain was either coming or here already. Knee is a little swollen and aching. Post op 10 weeks on Wednesday. Will be glad when/if the knee doesn't manifest a mind of its own.

Hey Tom,
Congrats on completing you first day at school!
We are getting bombarded here now with rain. You are about 1 1/2 hours north of me, are ya'll getting it yet? Weather channel said it was moving north northeast. I declare these storm systems get me worse than PT!
This one is a pretty big system. Columbia was really getting pounded.
Speaking of PT, my therapist added more exercises today. Now I am "walking the line". Thats where I walk a straight line they have taped onto the floor,
one foot in front of the other. Tougher than I thought.
I am also walking hurdles. Starting off with my surgical leg is no problem,
however stepping over last is a killer! WOW, I can't believe how hard it is!

Anyway, I hope your 2nd day goes as good as your first!
Just take it easy and don't overdo!

A little late - but better than never -

Congrats on being back in the classroom! Think of all the mind molding you are doing and the futures you will change with your positive attitude (I know - a little sappy - but really quite true!)
