Not bad at all. Did the usual drill. He measured me. Right knee (worst of 2) was at 90. left knee 96. Works for me. Flex at 0 both sides. Anyone who is pre-op and reading this: Stretching and quad build up BEFORE surgery helps! And certainly some blessings of God and prayer. Anyway, No bike or weights today. Next time. Wed. i think without looking at the calendar. pain not to bad after my "workout." I was sure to ice up real good before i even left PT. I'll just relax now for the eve.

Oh, P.S. Why does the dog always lay out to sleep under the opened recliner?

Jennifer....my home therapist told me I'll be starting OT a week from this Friday. I am anxious to see what that will mean, but somewhat scared too. As long as they don't push on my leg I think I can do almost anything. I've actually been walking around without my cane Saturday and today. It seems like I have one good day, one bad day, one good day......but overall things are better each week. That's what counts! Congratulations on this big new step in your recovery!

Glad to hear OP PT went so well! You'll master things right away, I think.

And I don't know why dogs need to sleep under the recliner foot, but all three of mine get under there and it's close to impossible to get up! Then when I do they all start bouncing around like they are springs and they think I'm going to take them outside. Can't a girl go to the bathroom in peace anymore?

OOOPS! Sorry, I took this thread to the bathroom on the first page of posts! Must be missing Doug too much. WHere the heck is he?

Jamie, don't be scared, be excited . I was worried too. But the therapy is really like my guy says "the bread and butter" , what you've been doing. I've been walking caneless for a few days also. Sounds like we have some paralells. that's a good sign I think, no cane. I still carry it with me just in case. more for balance than anything. If it is warm tomorrow and I can find a walking buddy to spot me I may go for a walk outside tomorrow. let us know how FridAy goes!

I though something smelled funny! (Sorry, man humor) The dog & recliner, she's gonna get squished and a month ago I couldn't close a recliner at all anyway. Too much pain and not enough leg strength. Yeah!

Jen, you made me laugh! I reread my post and that wasn't quite what I meant... LOL. I have handles to close the recliner so I can do it. The rocker and the love seat all recline, so at least one of the dogs is always in the way!

Mine has a handle too, but that was little help TIL NOW. you know the rocker is good for gentl e stretching on the knees right?

I just added to my PT. I went to the local pool this evening for Low Impact Aquq Fit. It was great. I used a foam belt to stay afloat, and managed a lot of the exercises. When we sat on the noodle and did cycling I was able to move my knee around, somethin I can't do on the stationary bike yet. I started crying with happiness, I don't think anyone noticed, hope not. I am exhausted now of course, I have PT tomorrow morning too!!
