:p:p:pHad the surgery last 08/06, everything went well. According to my doctor , he can't believe that I was still walking on that knee. Do to my cronic anemia from the stomach bypass, I had to have a transfussion, but so far everything else is doing well. Went home this Sunday, glad to be home!!!!, I can really say that, I know I am taking pain medication, but the pain on my knee is actually less than what I had before. I will be having PT 3 times a week at home for four weeks, I guess depending on my progress, we will go from there. I would like to thank all of the people that take their time to enter their question and answers here, It has help with my experience a lot!!!!

Great news so far. Just be sure and take small baby steps with that new knee. Your body has LOTS of healing to do now. We'll be looking forward to your progress reports!!

Truhdz, Way to go just remenber ice and take your pain meds. on time, I did try too soon not taking my meds on time and boy o boy what pain and it took some time to get the pain under contral

Tru,
So happy to hear everything went well for you. Now PT and you will be
back at it in no time.. Remember though ICE ICE & ICE again A do not let the pain get ahead of you.

Good for you! I had my surgery June 4th and I too had to have 3 transfusions. I too am anemic but have been all my life. I think that is one reason I'm a little more tired because my hemogloblin is still low. My surgeon said no. I had both my knees replaced. I wish you all the best in your recovery!
