Hey Josephine, Just because you have fever doesn't mean you are having a Knee crisis does it? I'm running one, yet to take the #, but I know because I have that fever feeling. Nothing hurts horribly except that little fever ache. But can you just have a cold or flu or other infection and fever with no knne concerns... (thermometer in mouth).

Jen, I hope Josephine will answer you soon and ease your mind with her expert comments. But I think generally you can have a fever from a sickness or virus and it would not effect your knees. I know how that kind of thing can worry you, though. I was really concerned not too long ago when I found a tick buried in my upper leg. Because of all the tick-bourne illnesses and the fact that they have their head stuck in your blood supply, I was wondering if maybe I shouldn't take an antibiotic to be sure my knee was protected. But the consensus from Josephine and my doctors was that it was not necessary. Although they didn't say it directly, I'm thinking that you would have to have a major infection - like staph - for there to be a potential for knee problems. But....since I'm no expert, hopefully Josephine will come to your rescue here very soon. In the meantime, I hope you feel better soon. Rest, drink fluids, aspirin or fever reducer, and the aches sould go away soon. I am assuming there is no redness or swelling out of the ordinary around your knees, right??

jamie, isn't it funny how when it's not you you know... But as soon as you feel a little funny all that knowledge doesn't apply to you. I don't have a temp according to the themometer, but I do have that sore and run down feeling. I just truly hope it is not a flare/relapse of my autoimmune stuff. By the way. it is great to see you back. You've been gone a while. Missed ya! You good?

One of the major things people have when having had a big health issue is to perceive every minor occurrence as being connected with that issue. Happens with people who have had cancer - thereafter they never get an 'ordinary' illness or a cold of anything! It always comes to mind immediately that it's something dire!

Not meaning to demean your concern, but you are still allowed to get colds and stuff, y'know!

Maybe you're getting over tired from the pt or you got a little virus or something. Worry not!

However, I have done this myself so you're not alone!

Funny story:
Many years ago when I after having had a hysterectomy, I cleaned a saucepan with some bleach (can't recall why but must have had a good reason!) and then cooked something in it. The food was tainted by the bleach and I became certain I had poisoned myself! I rang the on-call doctor and told her in tears what had happened and then told her how I had had this op only 3-4 weeks previously. WHAT she must have thought of me, I can only imagine. I mean - what on EARTH did
the fact that I'd recently had surgeryhave to do with consuming bleach tainted food!

I'm fine....just really busy these days. Thanks for asking!!! I pop in and out every few days and post to my old buddies (like you!) when I have time. I don't really want to completely lose touch, but it's definitely more difficult to keep up with all the things going on in summer. And....having movement back, gets more projects going! Hope you are doing well and that by this time your aches and pains have faded to history! Hugs!!!

Jennifer
I think on day 4 and 5 after surgery I had a very slight fever and just took a couple fever reducers. Was nothing to worry about for me and hope its the same for you.
