Hey CHNUF
Keep going. Don't stop moving. It gets so much better over time. If your like me you want things done now! Can't wait for it. LOL. I know man. It is a long process.
The pain stopped hurting about 4 months out. I got off the pain pills before that. I saw a big differance in my get better attitude when I left the pain pills behind. They were slowing me down. I was lazy not wanting to do much. Once off of them I felt better because I was able to think straight. I still take the Ibpubrphen (spelling). Ride my stationary bike everyday for 10 - 30 mins. My bike has been a big help.
I did both at the same time. I knew I would never go back and have the other done if I had just done one of them. I must say it was the toughest thing mentaly and physicaly I have ever done. I still get stiff after sitting or sleeping. But I have no arthritus pain now. I used to sit on the edge of my bed at night wanting to cry it hurt so bad before my BLTKR. Then when I got it done it was like what did I do to myself. Hurt worse. But now I love it. I wouldn't change a thing. Pt was tough. Just get in the mind set that it only gets better from here. DON'T QUIT! KEEP MOVING!
