Please don’t think Like that @Fairydell
If we could all pop in & give you healing hugs we would...
We are all waiting for the day that you finally get the best day/night ever! It will happen.. but until then we want to hear about you, as it is! Glad your friend gave you some good respite xxx
I think the nerves in my leg are really trying to fire up now. Tony massaged my ankle last night and the muscles were having crazy wild spasms that went up and down my leg. It looked like my leg had a life of it's own as it danced and juddered. I could only stand it for a tiny little while but I hope that it means things are starting to improve. I think I did the hokey cokey in bed. I had my leg out from under the covers... then in.. then out. I wanted it warm.. I wanted it cold and then warm again. Hope all you lovely kind supportive people have a smashing and pain free weekend.
Please don’t ever think we aren’t all here for you. Can’t imagine what I’d do without this community. We all wish we could wave a wand and make your pain disappear. Seem to remember the nerve jolts you’re describing, hoping they are a positive sign of healing. Sleep not coming here either. Wishing you comfort and improvement today.
Hi @Fit4Family I totally agree with you about this amazing community. It feels so good to be surrounded by such a kind and supportive network. Best of all, everyone has been through it and knows exactly where we are coming from. I hope you manage to get some proper restful sleep this weekend. A good long sleep (or a soak in the bath) would do me the world of good. It looks like being a beautiful day here so I am planning to sit out in the garden and soak up some healing sunshine. Have a great weekend. x
Hoping today is a better day and that if there was some compression on that nerve that agitated it..it is hopefully healing and will continually get better.
Do get some fresh air and sunshine
Sending you healing vibes, my friend!
Nerve pain is definitely a sign of the hip waking up. I used to visualise crackles of lightening running up and down my leg. I never had pills for nerve pain but many people do. I hope you get some decent sleep soon x
With your jumpy nerves and my achy bum cheek, we make a good pair.
I'm going out in the sunshine, also, this afternoon.
Hope we both feel better after it
I had a tiny amount of that kind of jumping bean nerves when I was getting my lower legs massaged. That is intense!! I can imagine you couldn't do it for long without being scraped off the ceiling. I do wonder if you could deal with 2 short massage sessions a day if it would help move this along? Enjoy your day in the sun!!
Happy Saturday!
I hope that today your pain is tolerable and the sunshine envelops you like a warm hug.
Better days are coming. Hang in there.
Hugs @Fairydell
I'd like @Josephine to weigh in on the massage idea. It may be a great idea, but then again, if it's not for some unknown reason, she'd know why.
I will look forward to her response as we are all learning through this experience. Given Fairydells situation, I rather be safe than sorry so let's double check....I'm just unsure on this
I can at last say something positive... I went for a little walk on my own outdoors today. ….. The sun is shining and I woke up determined to strap on my brace and take a little walk. I asked my neighbour to come and pick me up if he saw something in a heap on the floor. It's crazy but I am absolutely exhausted now... I used to think a seven mile walk was a pleasant stroll.
The nerve blocker isn't even beginning to touch the pain through the night but I have decided that I will absolutely not ask for a stronger dose of Pregabalin. I don't want to get on the slippery slope of taking ever stronger tablets and am determined to just tough it out.
I had the most horrendously painful night but somehow my leg felt different this morning. I think I may be getting a little sensation back. It's either that or a new pain has popped up and is masking the others. If one more person tells me that the pain is a good sign that things are trying to repair I may well scream
Fairydell, I wish the pain would lessen and that you could get some good restorative sleep.
I'm glad you were able to get out a bit despite the pain and at least get some fresh air and a change of scenery.
I am curious as to what your OS had said about all of this.
Does he consider there could possibly be some entrapment of the nerve? When will you follow up with him?
I do hope that things are somehow improving but would never suggest pain is a good thing.
Continuing to send healing vibes and wave so badly for things took take its turn for the better!
