It's 4 months past rtkr and I feel great! I still hear some "noise" in my new knee, and steps need a handrail, but the mobility is improved over my original knee's problems. I am back to work, nursing, and know tkr was the best thing to do. I am 63 and will definately have the other knee done next year. Hang in there, it does make a difference. My prayers are for all "tkr-ers" and thank God for this wonderful site..:wahey:

Thank you so much for posting this! At 3+ weeks I've been having a "why did I do this?" sort of week, and it sure helps to hear stories like yours. I'm glad somewhere down the line there's a light at the end of the tunnel with all of this! It's very encouraging to hear these "I'm so glad I did it" stories!

Best of luck to you!

Thanks from me too, i'm 4+ weeks and experiencing the same as Gale. And as she says it really does help when people post success stories. I am having a MUA on Wednesday on one of my knees, so I'm hoping it will be easier after that.
Good Luck and Best Wishes that your recovery carrys on going from strength to strength. X

I am also four months out - and very jealous of how well you are doing. I am doing okay but I am certainly not at your level. Good for you!
