Hey Guys!

Yep, the Title of this thread is, what you think it is... I wanted to say "THANKS", "THANK YOU", and "I'll miss all of you, very much!!!!"

Actually, what I really wanted to say is, All of you have been "MORE than Awesome", including Josephine, Patty, Judy, and several others who've helped me...", and I wanted to express how very much "YOU", and the boneSmart site in general, have helped me transition from the day of my 'very painful surgery', to where I am now, 4 weeks LTHR post op, and feeling better than I have in 6 months!! IMMENSELY!! I couldn't have done it without all of you, and looking back, it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought, or felt, 3-4-5-6-7-or 8 days out. Without your help, advice, expertise, 'pats-on-tha-back', support, sweet words, and positive reinforcement, I WOULD HAVE HAD A TERRIBLE TIME OVERALL! I personally had a very rough time for the first 72-120 hours after coming home, and I LIVED for being able to sign online, and read your replies to my questions, and the ablility to share with others who've endured the same as I. Thank you all so much; you gave me something to look forward to, to answer to, and daily enjoyment and positive reinforcement. God Bless you all, and 'God speed' in your personal recoveries; may you continue to share your knowledge with those in pain and recovery, helping answer their questions, as you've answered mine. I'll visit occasionally, and see you all around... send me a reply or question if I can help, and I LOVE YOU ALL! : )

Ooooh! Where's my cry-baby smiley! It's such a conflict of emotion when one of my 'chicks' flies the nest. I am joyful that they have been supported, encouraged and even enjoyed the forum, that the forum has done what it was intended to do. My heart runneth over!

BUT I am sad to lose someone I (we) have got to know and grown to care for so.

God bless you, Dalton. You contributed a lot to the board, made us all laugh and cry. (Gave me a sleepless night!) I pray you'll be back to work in no time, back to doing what you do well. Do keep me posted about your plans to become a PT amd last of all - let us have a pic of you back at work.

Don't be a stranger, else I shall come lookin' for ya!

Man those hips heal quick. they have more restrictions but move on sooner. We knees lament for months. Best to ya dalton!

Now Doug on the Knee side tried the same thing. But, guess what...he is still around. I'm betting you will not stray toooo far.....We know where to find you....KFC ?????......Patty

Dalton,

You once again have brought tears to my eyes. What you wrote is just perfect. I feel the same way. I feel everyone here are true friends and truly cared about me and understood me.
It would have been a whole different experience without all of you. My OS would have had daily questions for one.

I am pretty speechless, must be a truly emotional day!!!
Do check in with us. I am sending pictures today when my little daughter wakes up.

You are a great person, continure recovering and following your dreams. I have to stop this as I will be blubbering.
Maybe I'll have a better time putting feelings into words later!!!!
I love everyone of my new friends
Judy

THANKS FOR ALL THE HEARTFELT WORDS Guys!!! Judy, Patty, and Jo; sometimes my "Sisters", sometimes my "Moms", ALWAYS my "FRIENDS"...

And, YES, you'll still see me from time to time... I promise~! ; )

Hey Dalton, Judy, Josephine and Gang,
I am drifting to Dallas for my 5 month checkup and then on to Austin and then on to Fredericksberg tomorrow....Wish I could bring all of you fresh Hill Country peaches. My friend says they are perfect right now. Will have to take a picture with a good ol' Longhorn Steer...lol...My friend has them on her ranch....Patty

But you so look the part with your gun and all! Just need a martini in your other hand!

HAHAHA! Don't I wish... When I came to Portsmouth England for my month of training there, we went into the field with some of your fine Artillery troops, and I was SHOCKED when they broke for lunch and served beers! My jaw hit the ground!

I wish I was 1/4th the caliber of any of the 007's... fantasy or not! By the way, our best Special Operators such as the Seals and Delta Force are modeled after your Secret Air Service, or British SAS... and I'm sure your MI-5 or 7, or whatever they are, are no slouches either! God Save the Queen!

Dalton,

Judy,

I just checked out "lifestyles" and saw all your Great! Pics, (I PM'd you too). As far as my full cane with me 'dancing' pics... LOL~ You won't get those just yet. I need to feel and LOOK better, but they'll come eventually. AND, don't expect to see me in uniform just yet, I took about '5 steps back' last couple days by sleeping in bed. I tried it the last 2 nights, and I suppose I'm crossing legs, laying on incision, etc. I woke up hurting on a level !5!. I guess I'm demoted back to the recliner for another week...

Oh yeah, by the way, maybe I was premature in posting the subject of this thread... I'm still bored, lonely, and in pain, so I'm still looking and replying to several a day!!! Hope I don't bug ya'll too much! LOL

I can relate. I don't remember which thread, but I recently posted 7 steps back (i think).

I was wondering if you had made 25 steps forward when you opened this thread.
You sure won't bug me as I am in the same boat

Seems some little chickie wasn't quite ready to spread his wings yet, then?

mind you, if someone was holding on to my legs the way that one is being held, I'd be a bit of a grump too!

Josephine,
Adorable picture. We had a few baby birds when my oldest was growing up . He was always rescuing baby animals. I found a bird lady (she was pretty far away) that we turned the baby's over to after a few days.

One day when I found out he skipped middle school, he showed me 2 baby opposums in his draw.
I really can not imagine what shape, physically and mentally , I would be in if I had not found this site
