I am considering Dr. Ference for my TKR. Anyone here know him? Pros - Cons?

Well I can offer expert advise on this thread. I just had btkr with Dr. Ference on 12/9 at DMC. I do not have enough words to speak to the incredible care I received at Sinai-Grace. I was in acute care for 4 days and then was discharged to their Rehab unit for an additional 7 days.
Wonderful care.
In terms of Dr. Ference. I think he is phenomenal. I believe that he absolutely wants the best for you. While I was in the Hospital I had an opportunity to speak with a number of docs from the medical unit. I was amazed to hear their opinion of Dr. Ference. A urologist shared that his wife had her knee replaced by Dr. Ference and had a wonderful experience. The Anesthesiologist, told me he made sure Dr. Ference did his fathers second knee because he was not happy with the first replacement done at a more prestigious center.
So my results. I am 4 weeks out. I walk without aids, I have about 122 in my right knee and about 118 in my left. My scars were a point of amazement from the nursing staff and other medical individuals who examined me, both in the Hospital and out.

I have an appointment with Dr. Ference Feb. 17. I have heard from others that he really cares about his Pt's. and that he is a very good at what he does. I'll keep you posted...
