Does Anyone Recommend Memory Foam?

Im from Wirral.

Get the thickest you can afford. I got the 1" first but it wore out rather quickly in the middle. I now have - as I said before - a 3" which I have hopes it will last longer.

I got mine from broken link removed: https://www.comfort4you.co.uk/acatalog/Memory_Foam_Toppers.HTML who have a sale on at the moment and delivery is free!

I am a HUGE fan of memory foam. My bed has a memory foam top built in and it is the best. For anyone that has a travel trailer (or caravan for those in the UK), a foam topper can make even those beds comfortable! We got ours from Overstock.com.

I am ready to order one from overstock . Is there a difference if it says memory foam as I see wildly different prices from dept stores?

I don't think there is any difference other than price. Just brand differences.

Actually there are differences...some brands sometimes have objectionable petroleum-like smells.

I have bought about 4 from this place and can recommend them:
https://www.isoform.com/

I recommend getting one covered with a cloth ("coolmax") cover.

I also vote for 3 inches:) Although, again, personal taste as I have some guests feel this was too soft :)

I should note that a few people feel they get hot at night from them (your body heat can kind of build up under you.) The cool max cover should help if you think this might be an issue for you.

We've used them for years. For some odd reason, when I had my RTKR in April I didn't think to use one on my sick bed. Then when I did my LTKR in October, I remembered to--what a difference!

When I didn't use one, it was WEEKS before I could sleep through the night after surgery; when I did use one, I was sleeping through the night in just a few days...

They do smell wierd for the first day or so, but that goes away, mine did at least. It comes from them being wrapped up so tight in the plastic. Once it is unrolled and open it gets to air out and should be fine.

Yes, they mostly smell a bit at first. Letting them air out for a couple of days does the trick.
