So very sorry you didn’t get any good answers today. Sometimes fresh eyes are in order. It’s hard to start over, but when my OS could not determine next steps I found a new surgeon. Really hope someone will help you find relief and answers.

Decided not to go to therapy. I ended up having a panic attack over going. It just hurt so bad last time. I have an appt coming up on the 11th. Bringing my Hubby, who will speak his mind. Hopefully something happens. I am just so tired anymore of it all and of hurting. Thank you all for the kind words and well wishes. It is truly appreciated.

    Hello,
I'm so sorry. Your post is really sad to read. I can only try to imagine your frustration and weariness in your longsuffering. Hopefully you make some headway at your appointment next week. I'm happy you have your husband for support and to advocate for you. Please let us know how the appointment goes.

I am sorry that you are struggling too! And here I thought people having the anterior procedure had a quicker recovery; I guess maybe I'm wrong and it just varies from person to person.

You've helped make me aware that this recovery process is a roller coaster of ups & downs. I thought it would be easier after 8 weeks, and some days it seems to; other days, I'm not sure I can walk when I get up from a seated position.

For some reason, my back really aches now - at the lumbar/sacral joint where I used to have a very painful herniated disc. I'm getting hints that is has come back or mayber it's just one of the many side effects of the recovery process. But I need to know. So, I do know where you're coming from except for the fact that your pain is in a different place for now.

I'm home today resting and icing after having an active week. I don't think I have been overdoing it, but these aches in the groin muscles and various other muscles around the surgery site - comes & goes and it's totally unpredictable! All I hear from my surgeon and PA is give it time.

@Trudijane I am so sorry you are also struggling. I totally understand having to take some time to recoup. Stinks. I hope you continue to heal and will feel as good as new soon. You are in my thoughts.

Hopefully you and your husband will get answers and a plan for the future....in fact, make sure you get all of your questions resolved....sometimes our minds get overwhelmed when we are discussing our situations and leave their office more confused!

Ok, First of all, they told me to take two pain pills before bed to help me stay asleep and not wake up at least two times a night because of pain. Second, the Dr.'s have ordered an x-ray and a with and without contrast MRI. They are scheduled for 9:15 am on the 26th. We will see I suppose. Thankful they are doing another MRI and X-Ray. Maybe they will see something this time. Thank you all for the well wishes. :)

    Sigh......
ok, mri came out fine. My lab work showed that I need to take vitamin D and calcium and I need to eat more salt and eat more in general. Ok...... well, now they are sending me for an X-ray of my hip, a colonoscopy to rule out any cancer, because I have colon cancer in the family, and a pelvic exam to rule out my ovaries causing the pain.... no answers yet.

I'm so sorry this drags on for you, ebair.
It's good to hear all appears fine on the MRI. Hopefully these upcoming tests give you the all clear also.
But if so....what is causing your pain? The million dollar question.
Please stay in touch. Wishing you the best :console2:
