Thanks everyone, this is a great community !

I have slight psoriasis. When doctor replaces the my knee (Feb 21), does he need to do anything different if the knee has Psoriatic Arthritis Vs Osteoarthritis ?

I dont have psoriasis on the left knee to be replaced. Only slight psoriasis I have is on my right leg.

Can you help me give details for differnt in surgery steps or process for Psoriatic arthritis Vs Osteothritic knee replacement ? And do I need to tell the surgeon anything ?

I don't think there would be much difference in surgical technique.
However, I will ask @Josephine , our Nurse Director, who has many years of experience in orthopaedics.

As long as you choose a surgeon who is well experienced in doing knee replacements, he will have encountered both types of arthritis. It is a good idea to make sure he/she knows you have psoriasis, though.
