THR Debbie’s New Right Hip

@Dmcfad2 Great update! Another success story! So glad you are getting back to living again.

@Dmcfad2 Wonderful up date  I am so glad to hear you are doing well!

One year update.
I am doing great. I don’t even think about my hip. I am still gaining flexibility. Just this morning, I noticed I can finally tie my shoe with no difficulty on my operated side. I haven‘t tried for a few months, so I was pleasantly surprised. I’m back at the gym, doing weights and spin classes. My thigh on my operated side is still bigger than the other one. I used to think it was swollen from the surgery and would go down, but now I think it will be this way for good. I don’t really know why that happened. All in all, it was a wonderful surgery and I am so pleased with my recovery. Happy anniversary to me.

Happy One Year Anniversary! It’s really nice to hear from you. What a wonderful update. You seem happy and very pleased with your progress. Thanks for stopping by to share such an uplifting anniversary message with all. Best Wishes!

What a wonderful update @Dmcfad2 . It is especially good to hear how well you feel considering that you had a tough recovery on your first THR (I have just been peeking at your thread from that).

You mentioned in an earlier post that the first THR left you with a leg length discrepancy, which your second surgeon didn’t expect to be able to correct. Did you end up with a difference? And if so, how did you adjust to it? You certainly don’t seem to have any problems now.

So, here I am 2 years and 5 months from my surgery. My hip is perfect. Unfortunately, the left knee pain I started experiencing after my hip surgery has gotten so bad that I can’t put off knee replacement anymore. I have been cleared for surgery by my PCP and I am just waiting for a date from the surgery scheduler. I have posted in the knee pre-op area and will start a new thread about my knee once I have had the surgery. Thank God for Bonesmart!

:hi: @Dmcfad2
I'll be sure to visit you on the knee side.
Time to get all fixed up and back to life!
