I've mentioned several times this week that it's been a break thru week....and it has. Until this weather change. I feel like I'm 100 years old....I hurt all over. My knee aches like MAD....right calf aches like MAD....even my stupid thumb aches like MAD....

Just needed some lovin'

Hope some of you are watching our little North Carolina team "Davidson" (about 45 minutes from my house)....Dell Curry's son, Stephen, is TEARING IT UP!!!! Dell is a hero around here as he played with the old Charlotte Hornets. Wisconsin is SHOCKED right now.....GO WILDCATS!!!

I see a little perc with my name writte ALLLLLLL over it!!

Isn't Davidson that precious little college ($41,000 tuition) that gives free laundry service to all undergraduates for the 4 years they are there? Where I went (sadly even more money for tuition), we never got free laundry, or free transportation, hotel and tickets to the Sweet 16! Must be a North Carolina
hospitality thing. The weather will warm dear Patti.

I think most colleges around here give free laundry service. My son could check his laundry by computer....didn't cost him a thing. We southerner's are just plain NICE!!!and evidently we love our college students to have clean undies!

How's the big city, tonight? Better yet, How's the pulled muscley booboos?

We had snow and sleet here in Oregon today. Nothing that sticks, but crazy weather. I've been really hurting the past few nights....needing 2 Norco to finally go to sleep around 1:00 or so.....I will blame it on the weather since I have had an easy past few days of spring break.

I talked to my neurosurgeon's office today. They are going to send me a new prescription for the oxycodone and work with me on figuring out how to handle this continuing pain. I have to admit being discouraged sometimes that I am not "healed and done".

I know, I know---- just gotta take my own advice---- but it gets old! And I FEEL old!

The sun is shining. And Davidson stomped Wisconsin. Good things happen!

Davidson paid for their students to go to Detroit......that's awesome!

The "pain" gets old, doesn't it, Beach??? I feel like an OLD woman. I'm not READY to feel like an old lady yet!

yep... sure does.
I've had lots of great days as I have been healing, but some not great days too. Right now I think I am bored more than anything. I don't feel recovered enough to really go anyplace. By the time I get there I am too tired to do much and then I know I have to get back and will be in pain. Kinda deflates the idea.
Scott is getting bored with all this too. He just came in and wants to know if I can take a day off and go to a baseball game in Seattle April 15th.. Front row tickets....but that would involve a 4-5 hour drive (each way) and sitting outside in the cold and damp air for 4 hours or so. And with front row tickets you have to go down a LOT of stairs to get to your seat.... and back up to go to the bathroom or get something to eat, etc. etc. etc. Just doesn't sound worth it to me yet. And he WILL NOT understand that. I think I will just blame it on my job and say I can't go.... but you all understand what I mean, huh?

That is why this group is so awesome.

I just had the best day. Don't know what it was, but I felt like my old self! Had my best friend over for dinner and she noticed I was back to my old self, too. Maybe it's because my kids and I cleaned the whole house, don't know. But it feels wonderful. Took a pain med after cleaning and now I'm about to put my feet up and watch a movie. Life is good.

Good for you Skeet! So glad to hear it! I hope you have a terrific weekend too!

I probably will have a great weekend. wouldn't you know I start feeling great just as my husband goes hunting. Oh, well. The kids are enjoying their old mom. I'm happy if only today is great. It's just good to know I can feel good again. Hope, that's all I wanted was some hope!

God bless you, Skeet. Your happiness at having a good day brightens mine!!!

Way to go Skeeter! I'm gonna get ready and TRY to have one of YOUR days!...come on, Beach - let's TRY!!

Beach, I understand. My husband wants to take me places all the time, which I appreciate and love, but just can't do right now.

In your situation I would give him the chance to ask a buddy to go or brother or Dad or something, guys day out. Tell him to have a great time and you will go next time. He won't have fun if you don't feel good once you are there and all of those steps is enough in itself.

I would love to go to the game... but the "price" is too great right now. We went to a game in late September and it was rainy and cold then. I was miserable...We have tickets for later in the season, but April is too soon and too cold. I did suggest he take one of his sons, but he said he would just wait for me.

More silly snow flurries this morning, but I am getting out and about. I am feeling great this morning. What shall I do?

Hey all, enjoy!! That's why we did this crazy thing anyway right? just released my husband for a few hours. He likes to race the remote control cars battery & gas depending on season. I told him, I don't want you feeling resentful that you can't do anything...

The weather the last few days has gotten to me to.

MY QUESTION TO ANYONE OUT THERE WHO KNOWS SOMEONE THAT HAS HAD A TKR SEVERALYEARS AGO, DO THEY STILL HURT IN THE WET WEATHER AS THEY DID BEFORE THE TKR?

I am at 4 1/2 weeks and have a wedding to go to tonite that is going to be HUGE and I am trying to prepare myself for it physically by preparing for it mentally. I know there is going to be 250+ people with a cocktail hour that is buffet style and will have my good ol crutches to lug around, I am going to give 1 crutch a shot for the night so I do not have to make my Fiance work the night by serving me.

And it is also Circus time here and look forward to taking my daughter and having a good time ( last time they had me come down from my seat so the LITTLE PEOPLE clowns can use me as a trampolene : ) I wonder how I will handle all that walking, I was thinking of asking for handicap seating so there is no row in front of me so I can stretch my leg as I need to. I will think of it as PT for a day. But I will try and go.

this weather here in ILLINOIS is enought to kill any one LOL but yes i hurt so bad with these fronts we have been goin through i also would like to know if any one out there thats had tkrs yrs ago also still hurts? Good question New Nezze !

You are brave, NuNeeze. I'm at the same point as you and I am not ready for the things you are considering. I just don't have the stamina. But - GO GIRL! And let us know how it goes! I have a wedding next weekend that involves a lot of walking and car riding. I'm still thinking I'm not ready for it. I guess we'll see. I'm not willing to risk my progress in a setback by trying too much too fast. Chicken, I guess. Heck, I'm a done deal with a 10 minute car ride and 30 minute appointment at the doctor!!

Here in Kansas City the weather is also very poopy!!! It's cloudy and cold and they're talking rain. It's been this way for a week and I'm sick of it. I know it will help my mental attitude to have some warm spring days! Come on Weather Gods....do your thing and let's get WITH the PROGRAM!!! It's SPRING already!!!

Jamie....NN is SO not a girl!!

NN..why don't you go....stay for as long as you're comfortable, then split!!
It'll do you good to get your mind off of yourself. We all need that.

Oooops!!!! So very sorry, NuNeez.....wow! Didn't mean to move you to the other gender like that!! I must be in a drug-induced stupor!!!
